Chapter 27

In hindsight it was a stupid move. Carter would freely admit that with no hesitation. It didn't matter if it was Connecticut prying, Carter would still acknowledge her mistake. Stupidity was stupidity. The submarine grumbled as she rubbed her sore sonar dome. The fact that it had cracked was a testament to her actions. "Perhaps hitting Sammy B in the keel wasn't my smartest move." She groaned. "You can say that again!" Connecticut grinned as she came alongside her sister. Carter's damage wasn't deemed serious enough to warrant a drydock so she was sent to her berth to rest and heal. Which offered her no protection from her sister's teasing. For once however Carter wouldn't punch Connecticut's face in, no matter how tempting it was. Stupidity deserved teasing.
