Chapter 12: Poor Astrid

"Marcus, you are so strong and talented, and you have so many enemies," she said solemnly. " Marcus, you can't possibly be weak. Your woman must not become a source of weakness for you. Talia is too frail; I, Astrid, am powerful!"

"Slut, you even covet your friends' man!" he chastised her.

"Marcus, you are still single; when Talia becomes your girlfriend, I will leave you alone," she will say each time.

What an arrogant lady!

"Please return my money." He could hear her pleading voice.

Marcus's expression darkened... Was her name Astrid? That confident and self-assured lady?

He yanked Astrid towards his car by the wrist.

"Money, my money, let me go; I can't go without money." Marcus's eyes grew colder as she continued to repeat... She had intended to flee.

"Go look at her luggage," Marcus said to the bodyguard dressed in black. "Keep all of her money and credit cards."

"What do you intend to do?" Astrid heard and panicked.
