Run far away

Alex looked at his wrist, the bangle is gone, “What!” but he was sure, he came here with it, that bangle has never left his wrist, so what happened?

“I love you” he whispers to Sandra. “I love you too” she tries to pull away from Alex, she didn’t know why he stopped and she is burning hot. But Alex held her so tight, he didn’t want her to see him this way, his face has started to change.

"Oh shit!" How he hates himself right now, this can only happen with Sandra and if he's not with his bangle. just then a thought came to his mind.

“Sandra, can you get me a towel from the bathroom.?”

“Sure” he turned around quickly and Sandra went to the bathroom, Alex hurriedly went under the table to search.

"Where could it be, oh come out,” just then he remembers he can use his powers to search for it, and there it is, on the floor broken on one side.

“Shit! What do I do now”

“Alex what are you doing under the table,?”

“Huh! Searching for something”

“Here is the towel”

“Is it wet?”

"No"

“Please wet it”

“What?” Sandra hesitates before going to the bathroom to wet the towel.

“What is going on with him? Is he sick?” she reluctantly walk to the bathroom and Alex hurriedly tie the bangle on his wrist, it has fallen off his wrist when he was busy with Sandra's dress.

"Alex here is the wet towel, come out now let me help you find whatever you are looking for."

“Is fine,” he hesitated to come out under the table, he was given time for his face to change back completely.

“Oh, thanks,” he took the towel from her and hurried to the bathroom without looking at her.

“Is he okay?” she muttered.

“Shit! Shit! Shit!” Alex hit on the bathroom sink and Sandra heard him.

He looked at himself in the bathroom mirror and wondered if he has to do this for the rest of his life, “did I do the right thing? Is it right for me to marry her, how long will I hide this  from her?”

He thought about Evelyn, maybe he shouldn’t have pushed ahead with this wedding, maybe Evelyn is the woman for him.

Did he marry Sandra out of pity? Now they are husband and wife, “what if I lost this bangle for life.?”

“Alex are you okay?”  Sandra walked into the bathroom and hug him from behind.

“Yeah, I’m fine”

“You don’t seem fine to me, what is wrong?”

He was cool and quiet, unlike him. How is he going to tell her he’s not completely human, he can’t even believe it himself, he was completely human years back, until his parents took him to that place and everything about him changes drastically.

“Alex, talk to me, I’m your wife” at the sound of that he turned to face her. Cupped her face in his hands and smile at her.

“You’re my wife now, but can I tell you a secret? Will you still love me after I tell you this?”

“Alex I love you with all my heart, I’ve  already forgiven you for all the things you did to me, what else can you do to me?”

Hmm, she’s right, “But this one is different! You’re going to run far away from me if you hear it,” he said walking away from her but she followed him.
