Rain

I woke up in the morning realizing that Jungkook was not beside me. I looked on my phone and it was 9.00am.

I got a text from Jungkook telling me that he needed to meet someone.

I went downstairs and prepared myself a cup of coffee until suddenly Naeul called me.

"Happy Birthday to my dearest best friend Erin!"

"Ash, thanks Naeul! You're the first person that wished my birthday."

"Wait really? I thought it was Jungkook."

I stayed silent for a while but then she added

"Hey, chill up. Let's go to the shopping mall. Come on girl. We have to celebrate your birthday! "

"Okay, okay. I'll come.I love you! "

I feel very excited. I jumped in excitement. I text Jungkook that I was going out with Naeul and I dressed up.

Jungkook POV

I woke up early realizing that she was still sleeping. It was a special day today. It was Aerin's birthday.

I stared at her while she was still sleeping. I put a soft peck on her cheek hoping that she would wake up, but she didn't.

I then decided not to disturb her and let her sleep. I brushed the hair out of her eyes.I came closer to her and whispered in her ear

"Happy birthday my princess."

I gave the last kiss on her forehead.

A notification came out from my phone.As I read the message, I felt nervous as I realized it was from my ex-girlfriend

'I need to talk to you'

Aerin POV

"Aerin, this dress looks perfect on you."

Naeul showed me a beautiful dark blue dress and told me to try it on.

The dress is decorated with dark blue laces with sparkles and laced making it even more beautiful.

' Jungkook must love this dress '

I smiled.

"Do you like it? Then I'll treat you today as it is your birthday, okay."

"Thank you so much Naeul. I really love this dress."

After she paid for the dress, Naeul suddenly got a call from someone. She quickly picked up the call.

After a few moments, she then ended the call with a guilty look.

"Erin, there's something urgent calling me. I think I'll have to go now. Do you need me to send you home? "

"Oh, it's okay. I need to look at something."

"I'm so sorry. Thank you for your time. I love you! Bye! "

I left alone. I was wondering why Jungkook didn't answer my call. I even felt a little disappointed because he didn't wish my birthday yet.

'It's okay. Don't worry too much Aerin.'

I took a walk in the mall until I saw a café. I then decided to buy coffee and go back home. I needed to take a cab because Naeul had an urgent call.

As I walked into the café, my eyes suddenly glued on a couple sitting face to face while chatting together.

'Cute couple'

I ordered an iced Americano and took a sit for a while, relaxing my legs.

I sit a bit far from the couple. I took a closer look until I realized that the woman was Jungkook's ex-girlfriend.

But still, I couldn't see the man's face.

'Wait, was it Jungkook?'

I then suddenly saw the man's face, and I was surprised to know that it was my husband, Jeon Jungkook.

' What was he doing here ? '

I abruptly stand up and ran outside the café

My mind is running wild. I can't think properly.Why did he meet that woman?Did he cheat on me?

That's nonsense.

The rain is pouring. I kept on walking until I couldn't realize my tears were falling down.

'Why am I crying?'

My heart hurt when I recalled the scene that had happened to me a moment ago.

But then, my old memories flashed into my mind. Why do I always keep on remembering my past. The moment when I break up with someone that I really love.I stopped, sobbing very hard.

Why was I thinking about that? I don't want to think about that. I feel traumatized. I'm lost.

Suddenly, someone grabbed my hand. He held an umbrella over me to prevent me from getting wet, but I was already soaking.

I looked back and Jungkook was there, standing in front of me with a worried look on his face. I tried to pull my hand off, but he didn't let go.

He rubbed my tears and hugged me.

"Aerin, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel sad. I really didn't mean it. I know that you can't forget about your past and it makes you feel bad. That woman met me because she wanted to give me an invitation card to her wedding ceremony. That's all, nothing else. I swear. I'm not gonna lie. "

This time, I cried even harder.He hugged me tightly.I felt the warmth of his hug. He then released his hug and stared into my eyes.

" Aerin, don't cry okay.I'm hurting seeing you crying like this. I love you. "

I just wanted to say something when he suddenly let go of the umbrella and kissed me.I can feel his soft lips touching mine.He then broke the kiss and smiled.

"Happy birthday, Jeon Aerin."
