Chapter 1: Where are you Vivian?

"It was around 11PM when Vivian came home that night. She parked her car in the garage and come home looking very tired. I asked her if she wanted dinner but she said she had already eaten. She then went and freshened up a bit in the bathroom and started working on her script in the dining table. That was the last time I saw her. When I woke up in the morning, she was gone." Edward told the police.

"What do you mean, when you say she was gone?" questioned officer Richard.

"I woke up and looked in the house for her. She was nowhere. I then called up her office, her friends and everyone else we knew. No one had seen her. It's like she had vanished into thin air. It's been 2 days officer and my wife's still missing. I need you to do something and find her, please."

"Don't worry Mr Page, we are doing our best to find your wife. Please keep calm and be patient." Saying this officer Richard left the Page – Wagner Residency.

Vivian Wagner-Page, wife of Edward Page. Aged 28, was working as a script writer for Horizon Entertainment for the past 3 years. She was a well-established scriptwriter whose daily soaps were a superhit on the silver screen. She has been declared missing ever since her husband filled a report to the police.

The Page-Wagner residency was flocked with police officers, neighbors, family, friends and even on lookers. People were keen to know any leads on the case. All kinds of rumors about Mr and Mrs. Page were going viral. But none of this bothered Mr Page. He was busy trying to dig up anything that could help him find his wife. He left for Horizon Entertainment, where his wife worked to get some insights about what happened on that night, he last saw Vivian.

Horizon Entertainment

Edward reached Vivian's office. He was greeted by many people who worked with Vivian and almost everyone stopped by to console him and give him courage. He didn't have time to waste on chitter-chatter. He quickly made his way to the Creative Head's cabin.

Mr Ross was the Creative Head. He was an old man in his early 50s. He was a part of Horizon Entertainment since its founding.

"I heard what happened to Vivian. So terrible. My heart goes out to you Mr Page. Don't you worry, she will be absolutely alright and she will be found soon." Mr Ross said, his voice sounding low and sad. Edward gave a sad smile and nodded his head in approval.

"Mr Ross, I am here to know what happened on 11th October, the night I last saw Vivian. Why was she held up at work till 11 PM? Who all were with her that night at work? Did you or anybody sense anything odd with her?" Edward questioned in a hurried manner, anxious with anticipation.

"I honestly don't remember much of it, but Vivian worked over time that night. The script for our new show had problems with the ending, and the show was going to air in a couple of weeks. So, Vivian was required to redo the entire script for the climax that night. I don't recall any of her co-workers being in the office that late, because by the time I left she was the only one in the office. She did seem quite stressed, but I think that was due to redoing the script."

Edward sighed. Everyone he talked to, gave him vague or diplomatic answers about his wife. He didn't really have much to work with. He thanked Mr Ross for his time and left his cabin.

Before he left the building, he stopped by at Vivian's desk. It was filled with folders and scripts. There was a photo of him and Vivian on the desk. He was going through the sticky notes Vivian had put up on her desk- Meeting at 6PM, Script overdue on 15th October and so on. This can never be the desk of a woman who would run away. She had this entire week planned and was looking forward to it, Edward thought to himself. He consoled himself and

was just about to leave when he heard Mr Ross hurriedly rushing towards him.

Edward, there is something I need to tell you about Vivian." Edward was listening keenly, with hopes that something could help him find Vivian

"Edward, the script Vivian was working for that night, was very personal to her or so she said. Vivian never let anyone else help her with that script. She handled it all by herself. She said that she relates with the story on a deeper level and wants to write it all by herself. Vivian worked day and night on the script, as if she was writing her own life."

"What was the plot of the script?" Edward asked keenly.

"It was about the life of a husband and wife and their two kids living in America in the 1950s. We wanted to portray how life changed for good for the people after WWII. Vivian was very invested in it." Mr Ross replied.

"Thank you, Mr Ross. This has been very helpful." Saying this Edward left for his home to find the script Vivian was working on.
