Chapter 2

" What?!!" Both Sarah and Kai almost screamed out of shock.

" Shh... there's no need to be so loud. " The leader stated, a bit annoyed.

" Well mister, you didn't say your name yet. What shall I call you?"

" Oh, so sorry for that princess. "

' Cringe' Sarah thought.

" My name is Park Adams. "

Adams came closer to Sarah and whispered in a seductive voice into her ear , " You can call me daddy too, Sarah. "

" Pervert! " Sarah shouted on his face and kicked hard on his crotch.

When Adam knelt down on the floor due to the incredible pain, Sarah took Kai's hand and pulled him with her to run away.

" What are you waiting for?! Don't let her escape! Ouch!" Adams was busy whimpering and muttering curses.

" Sarah you will pay for this! "

" Kai did you bring your car?" Sarah asked him while both of them were running as fast as they could.

" Yeah. We're almost there. "

As soon as they got inside the car, Sarah saw through the car's mirror that those men were catching up with their car. "

" Start the engine fast Kai! They are almost here! "

Sarah was breathing so hard, Kai was worried that she might faint.

Instantly he started the car and drove off away from there as fast as he could.

" Kai take the highway. It leads to my cottage. "

Kai listened to her without saying anything.

Slowly, both of them were losing Adams and his men behind. Not to mention, but Kai was a professional driver as well.

After an hour, there was no trace of the men chasing after Kai and Sarah. Since they were afraid that those men might catch up with them again, they were still riding the car in the highway with full speed.

" Sarah, can you see them anymore? "

" No I can't. I think if they could run after us instead of driving, they could have caught us. "

Both of them started laughing, being carefree of the fact that they have just somehow escaped.

" Should we inform the attack on us to the police? " Kai asked.

" Silly! Don't think of informing anyone regarding this. We might get traceable once again. Also, it's better if we change our numbers. "

A few minutes later, Sarah heard her phone ringing. It was her father.

" Hello Dad. "

" Sarah are you alright? "

" Yeah I'm fine. " Sarah lied.

" I have been calling you since the past 30 minutes but you didn't even care to respond or call back. What were you doing?"

Sarah rolled her eyes out of annoyance and Kai was trying her best not to laugh.

" Dad I'm in the car with Kai. Also my phone was on silent as I didn't want to pay attention to my phone." Sarah snapped back at her father.

" Anyways, I just wanted to say you that I'm going on a business trip to Paris for a month. So take care of the house. "

Just when Sarah was about to say something, her father ended the call.

' Why does my dad has to be so rude all the time?' Sarah thought, irritated at her father.

" Hey cheer up honey! Atleast you won't have to see your dad for a month."

" Yeah Kai. You know that's a big relief. "

After they reached their cottage, also Sarah's secret hideout, she back-hugged Kai and said, " Our date got ruined. "

Kai turned around and cupped her cheeks.

" The day isn't over yet, love. How about we watch movies and play games today?" Kai suggested.

" Mmm... seems like a nice idea!" Sarah giggled excitedly.

Both of them went inside their cottage and decided to binge-watch movies on T.V.

After they got bored, they played pillow fight and other board games.

After having dinner at 10 pm, when Sarah was about to get up from the couch in the living room and go to her own bedroom, Kai held her wrist and pulled her on top of him.

" Baby, where are you going? "

" To my bedroom, Kai. Wanna join me in my bed?"

Kai seductively said," The night is so long baby. Wanna have fun with me? "

Sarah pulled him into a hot, wet kiss. Kai inserted his tongue into her mouth, and Sarah licked and sucked his lips and tongue. After they devoured each other, Sarah broke the kiss.

" Follow me to my bedroom babyboy. "

Sarah got up and pulled him with her holding his wrist into her bedroom.

They had no plans for sleeping either.

The next morning, both of them woke up when they heard loud banging on their door.

" Who can this be , Kai?"

" It must be my brother. I gave him the address of this place. " Kai stated nervously, afraid that she might get mad at him for not taking her permission to call his elder brother into her house.

Instead, Kai saw Sarah smiling wide out of joy. " Oh what are you waiting for? Go fast and open the door. Tell your brother Nico to get inside."

As soon as Nico entered into her room, he pulled Sarah into a tight hug, while Kai became a little bit jealous, although he knew it was just a brotherly hug.

" I missed you Sarah. "

" I missed you too, Nico. "

Nico a.k.a. Nico Lee is an elder brother of Kai. Kai is 22 years old, while Nico is 27 years old. Although he is very secretive about his job and his lifestyle, he loves to hangout with his brother a lot.

" How are you? I heard about the attack on both of you? "

Sarah eyed Kai suspiciously, while Kai defensively raised his hands and said, " Believe me Sarah, I didn't say anything about it to him. "

" Yeah he is right. The news of the attack on both of you and the other customers in the cafeteria is all over the news channels. "

As soon as they switched on the television, they saw the headlines-

' An attack on a couple and the other customers in the cafeteria by a gang, whose leader is untraceable. Investigation will be started to find out the culprit very soon.'

The news channel even showed the video clip of Sarah and Kai running away after hitting Adams. Somehow, Adams face was hidden among the crowd of his men.

" This is all bullshit! Everyone saw Adams attacking us but they chose to stay silent!" Sarah was fuming out of rage, while Kai was patting her head to calm her down.

" Is it Park Adams?"

" Yes" , Kai said.

" Both of you are in deep trouble, believe me. Once Adams sets his target, he never lets his prey escape. He is the leader of one of the deadliest mafia gangs in U.S.A. One wrong move and you'll be no better than a dead meat. "

Sarah shivered at the thought of Adams catching her and separating her from Kai.

" Hey Nico, can you please bring her laptop and both of our clothes from our houses over here? She wants to work from home, until everything settles down." Kai said with pleading eyes.

" Sure Kai."

" Make sure no one notices you."

" Okay my baby bro."

Nico hugged him tight and went out of their cottage.

A little later, Kai heard Sarah sobbing silently.

" It's all my fault. I could have stopped this from happening. "

" Stopped what? What are you talking about?"

Sarah took out her phone and showed her chats with Adams to Kai.

" I could have canceled our date and informed this to you sooner. I could have stopped us from running into danger. I could have stopped you from getting involved with this mess."

Kai pulled her into his arms while Sarah burst into tears.

He patted her head, comforting her, while she cried with no limits, resting her head on his shoulder while letting all of her stress out through her tears.

" Everything is going to be alright Sarah. We need to stay strong and be together. No one can take you away from me. "

" Kai, do you love me?" Sarah asked him, eyes teary.

Kai wiped away her tears from her cheeks and placed a soft peck on her lips.

" I have loved you ever since I met you and I am going to love you forever. "

Both of them stayed like that, hugging each other, until Sarah stopped crying and until Kai was assured that she had calmed down.
