Spiked Drink

After eating, the couple had to pay respects to their elders and return after changing clothes. They had prepared a reception party in the evening for their guests. Gabby explained Alena about their family rituals and told her not to leave until she comes back to which Alena agreed. Soon, people who were opportunists made their way to influential people so that they can get benefits out of them.

Many old hags surrounded Damon in hope to get noticed and many even flaunted their daughters so that he can show interest in any one of them. But Damon could care less, he was busy looking at her woman from time to time who was enjoying her drink and the view of the garden. Gabby before leaving made sure to introduce Alena to her parents so that she won't feel left out and Alena was thankful for that and her parents were really nice. They were really sweet to bring her in their conversation and talk about stuff apart from boring subjects like family expansion and her husband. She was really glad they asked her opinions on social issues and politics which she liked to talk about.

Damon could notice how her eyes sparkled while talking to the old couple and unknowingly he would broke into a smile watching her. Amidst all these, he never noticed how his drink got spiked and he soon emptied his glass without noticing anything. He excused himself to get to her wife but in the middle he knocked the waiter who was carrying drinks and got his suit wet. The waiter hurriedly bowed and apologized but the deed was done. He waved his hand at him and made his way upstairs to a room and before he could contact his secretary, an old man the one with he was talking before said, "Mr. Damon are you alright? I have a spare suit with me which is brand new, if you like i can send it to you". Damon thought for a moment and nodded before making his way to any room available.
