Chapter 343: Furious and Desperate Defeat

Henry Russell received a call from Ethan Carter, knowing that Charlotte Cooper had been retrieved, and his hanging heart was finally somewhat relieved. However, without seeing Charlotte herself, Henry was still somewhat restless.

Meanwhile, Lily McKenzie and Lucas Carter were waiting for good news. Lily believed that she had orchestrated this event perfectly and was sure to succeed. As soon as the phone rang, Lily picked it up.

"Hello, how did it go? Did you get her?" There was an urgency in Lily's voice as she tightly gripped the phone.

Lucas also became nervous, her eyes staring intently at Lily's cellphone, silently praying, hoping to hear the news they wanted.

"What? Intercepted by Ethan Carter? Why? How is that possible? You bunch of idiots!" Lily's face immediately changed, and she hysterically yelled into the phone.

"What happened? Did things go wrong?" Lucas grabbed Lily's wrist, her eyes still holding onto the last shred of hope.
