The Suffering Didn't End (1)

A piece of news was anonymously sent to two of the major entertainment and publishing companies in the country—Sunrise Entertainment and E-Publishing. The content of the said news was so big that neither of them are able to ignore it. It included names of influential individuals—famous celebrities, businessmen, and even politicians—from in and out of the country involving drugs, corruption, and human slavery. It was a thick package containing not just names of the people's illegal activities and suggestive pictures of them on various occasions, but also the victims. It was the kind of news that could quickly cause an uproar the second it was out in the public.

Unfortunately, no one could tell if the source was legitimate unless they followed the instruction included in the number of files. The message printed in a piece of paper mentioned that if they wanted to verify the evidence, they would need inspector Ian Andrews Mo to verify it or else someone would try to cover it up. It was also indicated that the evidence they are holding was dangerous to possess and if they didn't want trouble, they could burn it down and act as if nothing had happened. Ian Andrews Mo, before it was even known that he was connected to Mo Hanlu and now married to him, it was already known that he was a truthful public officer who had a strong sense of justice so none of them doubted the message.

The head executive of Sunrise Entertainment also had a strong sense of justice so it wouldn't be so surprising that he would go ahead and verify the evidence that was in his hand. On the other hand, although the head of E-Publishing was different from his competitor, he desired exciting and profitable news, he simply couldn't let this opportunity slip from his hand just because he didn't want trouble. Furthermore, they both couldn't pass the chance to cripple two of their major competitors so they quickly went ahead and blasted Ian Andrews' contact number.

Thankfully, Ian and Hanlu were already oriented that this would happen so after Ian heard of such news from Mo Laotian, he efficiently worked all night and had not slept a wink, verifying each piece of evidence before sending it to his superiors. With this, even if the publishing companies where Tian Zi and Fyre gave the evidence decided not to get involved, Ian Andrews Mo could still work out their plan smoothly.

Fortunately, the piece of news was irresistible enough for the two companies to ignore it. And knowing that inspector Andrews already knew of the case, they couldn't help but wonder why such a massive amount of evidence was sent to them as well? It was a question they already guessed the answer to. It was because the sender wanted this to be out in the public. It's already a given that if this was from the police alone, a lot of the information they held now would be kept from the public and it would be difficult for them to dig up some information later on considering this was such a huge case.

The others are also very influential individuals in their fields, the news said that they're all involved in many illegal acts including corruption, drugs, and even human trafficking. [@streamgagaoolala @sophia062177 Yes! I saw it and read articles online! There were also so many bad rumors about the Governor but he had many people helping him hide it but now everything is out. I can't say he didn't deserve it.]

[@rainepuljanan There were a lot of companies involved including ABC Entertainment and Dawn Publishing's CEO, some famous directors, movie producers, and actors mostly from them too. A number of executives from Sullen Corporation are arrested as well and there are a few in other big companies. Even Mo Empire didn't escape, they also have executives who got involved. The mayor of city N and governor of city Z were included too and a lot more. It's like someone was purging all the rotten individuals in the country.]

[@dahraeyeko @rainepuljanan That's a nice way to put it and honestly I don't feel bad for them at all. I heard they auctioned people to make them their sex slaves. They drug them and rape them and as if that wasn't enough, they videotape the victim and show it to everyone in their organization to feast on. I wouldn't be able to sleep peacefully knowing that these people are being praised in society.]

[@pirain100 @dahraeyeko I feel the same way. Also, don't forget to mention, the secretary of defense was also involved, it is said he was one of the founders of the group that's why no one could ever touch them. A family friend working in Sunrise Entertainment said that the evidence was anonymously sent to them as if the sender already believed that if they sent it to the police, someone would try to cover it up. It's really a scary world out there.]

[@dahraeyeko @pirain100 I believe your theory. There are a lot of police chiefs in different regions who are being arrested all over the country. Thankfully, our's was not.]

[@stilltusweetfru @mazuma I agree but I heard of that rising star who used this organization to gain fame. I guess not all of them were forced to be sex slaves. I'd like to feel bad for her because she was pushed into that unfortunate situation but my sister work with her in this new movie production and I heard her personality was so bad and acts like a diva because the producer was fucking her. There were a lot of issues about this producer but no one could provide evidence and if there was, it will be covered.]

[@demonie88fun88 @stilltusweetfru Ahh! I've read about it! That producer has 2 daughters and a wife. That's so messed up even though I knew this was common in the entertainment industry. You gotta do what you gotta do to survive.]

[@mjkm22 @stilltusweetfru Yes, you gotta do what you can but would it hurt you to act a little nicer? It's not like her acting was that great. I feel bad for my baby Duke, I hope he's not being bullied by that woman!]

[@lynnburger68 I'm just glad Duke Davidson wasn't involved in this mess but I feel bad because the movie production of that novel adaptation was put on hold again. It's been a while since Duke's last movie after he was on hiatus. I want the movie to continue but I hope they ditch that woman and find another actor to act. She's a Beta anyway and doesn't fit the cross-dressing Omega character.]

[@ngu102yen @lynnburger68 That's what I was thinking. They offered Fyre Long to act as the lead 2 years ago but he refused. The fans of the book refused to accept a different actor and threatened that they would boycott it. In the end, the management delayed the production and was just able to launch again but this happened.]

[@ngu102yen @lynnburger68 As a reader of both the light novel and the webtoon, you wouldn't understand how Fyre Long fits the character so much. It's like the story was written using him as the model. Yes, he isn't an actor but does that woman any better? I'm sure if he tried and studied a little, he could do it. I saw a video clip of his sister acting and she was good even for a side character. Maybe acting runs in the family. It wouldn't hurt to try it.]

[@lynnburger68 @ngu102yen I couldn't agree more. However, there's no point in crying over spilled milk. Fyre Long declined the offer and although I feel bad for that actress because she was a victim, if she indeed had a rotten personality then it's better to cut her off in the movie.]

"What are you reading so early in the morning?" Tian Zi asked, wrapping his arms around Fyre's narrow waist. They're currently on his bed and the day has yet to start for the both of them but seeing his lover preoccupied with his smartphone, he couldn't help but pout.

"Well, our plan worked out and no one was talking about Maverick anymore. Although, people are now talking about something unrelated." Fyre replied, still scanning on his phone.

"As long as Maverick is no longer involved then that's fine. Those men won't be able to escape prison any longer," Tian Zi smiled, this time kissing Fyre's bare nape. It was unfortunate that nothing happened last night after they were interrupted but he was happy that he spent the rest of the night together talking about random things. And although it wasn't his fault, he also apologized about the hug he had with Maverick but seeing that Fyre wasn't affected by it, he felt a little relieved that he wasn't being misunderstood.

"Hmm, I've read about them too and they're facing quite a lot of complaints and demands for compensation from the family victims that they had to sell their assets. Your brother was quite amazing, he gained 28% of the Sullen Corp. company share adding to his already 27% share, it made him the largest shareholder by 39% in less than a day. Of course, everyone knew the real owner was his wife, Daniel," Fyre informed, distracting himself after the sudden kiss. He didn't mind Tian Zi touching and hugging him since there were a lot of instances where they had to do so due to his constant heat before but he didn't expect that after becoming lovers, the Alpha was the kind of person who would like to cuddle a lot. It's not that Fyre didn't like it, but sometimes, it's too much for his heart.

"Hmm," Tian Zi simply hummed. He didn't really care about that. When it involved his Eldest Brother, he was no longer surprised.

"A-Anyway, we should get up already," Fyre suddenly sat up, pulling away from the Alpha's clutches. He agreed to spend the night at the Alpha's room but he didn't plan on getting caught coming from his room just yet. Even though they weren't able to do anything last night, just him coming out of his room still suggested that they did. He had no problem letting everyone know about his relationship with Tian Zi but not like this. He would die in embarrassment if that was the case.

"Already? Stay in the bed with me a little more," Tian Zi groaned in complaint, catching Fyre's hand. Fyre looked at his lover's puppy eyes and he was about to give in before he was able to have a firm grip of his rationality and instead of gratifying his lover's request, Fyre grabbed one of the pillows and pushed against the Alpha's face briefly trying to suffocate him.

"Stop acting like a baby and get up! You've been treating me like a pillow all night and now you still want more!?" Fyre acted angry before he finally stood up fixing himself. Meanwhile, Tian Zi groaned again in complaint but he sat up and then got up anyway before he chuckled, hugging Fyre again.

"I don't know why but I like hugging you so much. You fit perfectly in my arms, don't you want to hug me too?" Tian Zi conveyed and as expected, it instantly made Fyre blush deeper before he pushed the Alpha's chin away from him.

"Stop it! You're like a stubborn octopus!! You're too clingy and annoying!" Fyre yelled, but he only earned another chuckle from the Alpha. Aside from the extra touching, both of them were glad that nothing had changed in their relationship. They still bicker a lot but this time, they could feel each other's feelings. It felt surprisingly warm, knowing that there was someone who felt the same way as you.

Fyre and Tian Zi continued to argue and as always, Fyre lost since Tian Zi was more stubborn. The two went back to sleep as per the Alpha's request and it was only an hour later that they were finally able to get out of the room, still arguing.

"It's your fault that we're only coming down now! How do you think Auntie would react with me getting up so late?" Fyre complained, punching Tian Zi's shoulder while the Alpha didn't even react, knowing that it was indeed his fault.

"Mom, won't mind. She liked you and it would be reasonable because you just checked out of the hospital," Tian Zi said with a pout as they climbed down the stairs. Normally, people would gather at the living room or the dining table by this time but there was no one. Fyre noticed it too and looked around.

"Where's everyone?" Fyre whispered. Thankfully, the head butler, Lucas, approached them and let them know what had happened.

"Good morning Young Master and Sir Long. If you're wondering where everyone was, they went to the hospital an hour ago. Last night Elder Sullen had to be admitted due to his condition. The Madam and Old Master decided not to tell you because Sir Long just came out of the hospital and Young Master was needed to care for him," Lucas informed. When Fyre and Tian Zi heard the news, they both looked at each other in worry before Tian Zi nodded, dismissing Lucas.

"Should we go and visit after breakfast?" Tian Zi suggested while Fyre nodded. Of course, the suffering didn't end with just sending the perpetrators to prison, the Elder might not be able to hold on this time.
