An Insecure Man (2)

'Fuck!' Fyre mentally cursed and before he knew it Tian Zi was checking him on up whether something was wrong with him or not since he fell earlier, explaining the reason why this was happening when they've already decided that he was just going to look from afar and not approach them at all.

"Are you okay? That's why I told you to cancel this meeting," Tian Zi said upset, while ignoring the actor who was obviously very surprised at his sudden interruption and appearance when the Omega was suddenly snatched away from him. It was so fast that he had no chance to react at the right time.

"Fyre, do you know this man?" Apollo asked politely as he looked around knowing full well that the people around them are now looking at them as if they're filming a show. And needless to say, his question caught Fyre's attention as he held Tian Zi and assured him that he was fine and that he didn't need to worry. Thankfully this time, he had gathered enough strength on his legs and stood up even though he had to hold his lover for support which then the Alpha didn't mind and instead proudly held his waist to show everyone around them that the Omega is his.

"Yes, I'm sorry. I know him but first of all, can we get a private room? We're kinda catching everyone's attention now," Fyre awkwardly replied before he subconsciously grabbed Tian Zi's arms and pulled him towards the restaurant staff. Fortunately, it wasn't long before they were given a private room and soon they sat facing each other with an awkward silence. Fyre and Tian Zi sat next to each other while Apollo sat across from them.

In the actor's mind, he already knew what the Alpha next to Fyre might have been to the Omega because he could smell the two having the same pheromones. Obviously, that only happens when an Alpha and an Omega purposely showered their pheromones to the other or that the two of them had long passionate intercourse. But now he's more confused, Apollo is a dominant Alpha and he's pretty sensitive to pheromones as well. No one noticed it because there was no other Alpha and Omega in the production team except him, Fyre, and one specific assistant.

The reason why he's confused is because Fyre smelled like an Alpha everyday and he knew full well where that pheromones came from but that person looked different from the person in front of him now. Based on facts, each individual has different pheromones. No one can explain why and how it was different but just like DNA, every Alpha and Omega have unique pheromone properties that could differentiate one from the other. Furthermore, it's natural for Alphas and Omegas to immediately determine which is which and there is no way two different Alphas would have the same pheromones so there could only be one explanation to this… which is, this and that could be just one person.

"So, which face is the real one?" Apollo asked curiously because he honestly couldn't tell. Of course in his line of work, it is easy to change someone's appearance and body structure with makeup and few things and some could honestly look real that if one person lied about it, no one would actually know.

Meanwhile, hearing his questions, Fyre was surprised because he immediately knew what Apollo was talking about. He didn't exactly know how the Alpha figured out but that's definitely what Apollo was talking about. On the other hand, Tian Zi wasn't in the slightest bit surprised. This is because normally, a recessive like Fyre doesn't have any pheromones so if an Omega like him smelled like an Alpha pheromone, that just means he has an owner, a lover. And Alpha like Apollo should've noticed that but in the end he ignored it and continued making way to flirt with Fyre. This is why Tian Zi couldn't stand the Alpha at all.

"W-What do you mea—" Fyre tried to deny but he wasn't able to finish his words when Tian Zi interrupted him.

"Does it matter which face is real? What matters is that you're making a move on a bonded Omega," Tian Zi raised his eyebrows while emphasizing that he and Fyre had already bonded and that he didn't have a chance. Meanwhile, hearing his words, Apollo just stared at Tian Zi before he sighed, his usual kind and charming expression turned dark and monotonous.

"I don't know who you actually are but you do know Fyre and I are actors? I admit I did like Fyre in the beginning but knowing every day he smelled like you, no other Alphas would dare snatch him away," Apollo stated, his voice void with any emotions as his stares turned into a complete glare towards Tian Zi.

"It is our job to work closely, so if you couldn't handle that then that's your problem. You already took it to yourself and stood next to him as his assistant, at least try and trust your Omega a little bit more. I pity Fyre for choosing a man like you," Apollo added, which took both Fyre and Tian Zi off guard. Tian Zi especially squeezed his hands into a fist and glared back at the fellow Alpha.

"It's not Fyre who I don't trust, it's you who kept on sticking close like a stubborn leech," Tian Zi replied with the same intense glare. He had never been so angry ever in his life but now this man was really testing his patience. He didn't know where he's taking his courage from but he'll sure make it even with him later.

"That's what an insecure man would say..." Apollo chuckled before he shifted his gaze at Fyre and in an instant his eyes changed back to his usual kind and charming one. "Fyre, if you ever want to leave this man, don't hesitate to contact me... I'll help you break off that bond he's so proud of," Apollo said with a smile which Fyre wasn't able to reply before the actor stood up. For Fyre, Apollo is the third person who said that to him and he really didn't know why. First it was Paul, then Jonathan, and now Apollo. He honestly didn't know what to say anymore.

"Now then, if you just excuse me. I have another appointment after this..." Apollo said again and without waiting for the two to reply, he smiled seeing the shaking Tian Zi.

"Oh and, a photograph will come out soon. When you see it, don't throw all your frustrations at your lover, or else you'll only make it quicker for Fyre to decide to leave you," Apollo said and just as he finished his words, he finally left the room leaving Fyre and Tian Zi alone. Obviously, Tian Zi was gritting furiously. He couldn't believe someone had made him this angry. But then again, it's upsetting because he knew Apollo's words were somehow true. He is indeed a very insecure man.

First of all, he wasn't as great as his older brothers. They're one of a kind while he was just the third youngest brother who liked to make trouble to get attention. And secondly, if Fyre wanted to, he could have chosen other Alphas aside from him so Tian Zi couldn't help thinking that he just got lucky that Fyre chose him in the end that it constantly made him feel insecure. Fyre was the one and only person who had made him feel this way—so much affection and at the same time obsession—and he couldn't help not knowing what to do. He's inexperienced when it comes to relationships and even when they've bonded, there's still this constant fear inside him that Fyre would one day leave him.

He didn't even know where he developed such traits! It's just one day it became like this despite the constant reassurance he received from the Omega.

"Zi~"

"Hmmn...?" Hearing Fyre's call was like a drop of water on his chaotic mind that the ripple it made brought him back to reality. His earlier fist relaxed and his heartbeat slowly began to drop at a normal rate.

"Are you okay? Please don't mind what he said, Apollo is a kind man but maybe he just didn't like that we lied to him. Still, no matter what happens, I'll always choose you over anyone. It's ridiculous to even say that I'd leave you so rest assured," Fyre said, holding Tian Zi's cheeks. Truthfully, it was him who should feel this towards Tian Zi but for some reason, it really felt like he needed to reassure Tian Zi as well. At the same time, although he's upset that Fyre was still saying such kind words towards the actor, Tian Zi smiled pulling the Omega into his lap which Fyre didn't mind since they're in a private room.

"Don't mention him again, I'm really upset right now," Tian Zi pouted. He stared at Fyre with his affectionate eyes and he thought, how can he not be insecure when his lover kept on making other Alphas fall for him! Although his background falls behind no one, he was never the most confident child growing up with two amazing brothers so he couldn't help feeling insecure. Rumors about him feeling inferior towards his brothers didn't just come out without reason after all.

"I'm sorry but don't be upset, okay?" Fyre said. And again, he really didn't know why Apollo was picking a fight with Tian Zi but his words were so unnecessary that he now had to make his lover feel reassured.

Brushing his lover's hair, Fyre leaned closer to kiss the Alpha hoping that it would make him feel a little bit better. The kiss wasn't brief and Fyre took the lead as he explored the Alpha's mouth before he blushed, pulling away touching his lips in embarrassment since this was the first time Tian Zi was making him lead. He thought Tian Zi was going to take over but he didn't.

"Why'd you stop?" Tian Zi asked quickly, wrapping his arms around his lover. He was still enjoying that but it ended too quickly. Obviously, he didn't have enough.

"Well, it looks like you're no longer upset so can we leave this place now? I still have a lot of things I want to ask you but I don't want to talk about it here," Fyre shyly said as he struggled to get off of Tian Zi. Actually, he wanted to ask about that thing Apollo said about him smelling like an Alpha everyday but he won't ask about that now and instead he'll ask about it later back at home where they're more comfortable.
