Sonia woke with a throbbing headache, the sun setting in the west. Grabbing her bag, she scratched around until she found the pills and popped the lid. Two capsules fell on her hand and she swallowed them with a mouthful of water. The bitterness spirals down her throat to her stomach to do its work.
Last night's shift was tiresome, and she only left after 12h00 that afternoon. They admitted several cases of the flu, stomach aches and cramps. Three soldiers were part of a collusion and bled all over the ER. Then, to make matters worse, Colonel McGee demanded additional reports. It kept her busy the rest of the morning, her timetable stretched to the limit.
