Chapter 3

An hour ago she was Lady sapphire, daughter of his highness King Kai of Creedom and wife of Baron Albert Espusio. She had been loved, happy and hopeful for her future and that of her child.

Now sapphire was hated, treated like a plague and she had no future.

It was too much to take in. Survival was what mattered right now. She had to find a safe place for her and her son. And though Albert and the Espusio's family had taken him away she still had to try.

"Milady! I know you didn't do it"Asa, sapphire hand maiden sobbed as she spoke, she had cried the whole nite after knowing her lady was going to be exiled by sun rise 

"Who will take care of young sire volt"Asa rubbed her face till it became bright red, her eyes and face where swollen.

Sapphire bowed her head while fighting the terror inside 

"I don't know" she whispered her fears

"He is still a child, he shouldn't suffer the loss of a mother, what to do dear ARACHEMEDES" she sighed in frustration. She didn't know what to do, sunrise was slowly approaching forcing her to face reality but she still couldn't abide the idea of anyone having to rescue her for something she hadn't done..

"I'll go to Albert, beg him if I have to, he'll spare me"

"Milady how? This place is under tight surveillance until sunrise and if king Kai finds out you won't only be losing face but also your head, please think about it, Baron Albert won't help you.." Asa reminded her

Sapphire nodded in agreement, reality sinking in"But young sire volt "

"Milady I swear by ARACHEMEDES, I'll do everything in my power to take care of the child, difficult but I would try" tears flooded her eyes as she swore to her lady, her voice filled with empathy 

Sapphire smiled sadly

"I'll miss you, my old friend"Asa signalled for the stand in maid to step forward and change her lady's clothing, the dazzling purple robes worn by the royal family was rent into a plain white as the sparkling jewels that adorned her neck and her hair was removed, Ashes were scattered round her hair to signify shame, desolation as her feet where bare just like it was on the day she had been born as the servants immediately led her out for her peril

"Any last words?" The Royal Viscounts asked as he sneered at the unfaithful woman 

Sapphire turned her full attention to the king and Albert then took a step forward. 

"I'll be back" sapphire answered, this wasn't a hope or a promise, it was a solemn vow. She watched as Albert rubbed his chin painfully as he eyed her

"You jest"

"Is that so?"

"Well then with the power bestowed upon me by king Kai the fifth, I hereby banish you from this fruitful land, do you understand what this means?"

Sapphire managed a bit of smile as she looked up at him" it means from this moment on, I'm a free bird, No king, No title,No home,No kingdom, I no longer owe your king my loyalty, I no longer owe Creedom servitude "

The statement made the King's face turn blood red, he hadn't expected her to act so coy when she was at his mercy, he spoiled her too much.. he hesitated before answering the gave a quick nod

"Kill on spot, hunt without mercy if she ever step foot into our land, you are now an enemy of Creedom"

The Assemblages cheered the punishment, once the noise had settled down he continued 

"Your existence is no longer acknowledged, I pray you never find peace" he cursed 

It was too much to take in, however she needed time to calm down her racing heart. She could hardly breathe.the crowd gave her a wide berth,Strangers screamed foul names at her as she passed them on the long, seemingly endless walk to the front gates. A woman pushed her way through the throng as sapphire was walking towards the gate, the woman called out to her but she ignored her and continued on.she grabbed her arm then swung her around violently and hit her face with her fist. Had she not had a firm grip on her, she would have dropped to the ground. Oh! How the mighty fell!

The humiliation and shame was unbearable. It took all of her concentration to show no emotion.she didn't hurry her pace, she didn't allow a single tear to fall for to do either would give the rabid crowd satisfaction. Pride was all she had left, she would not let them take that from her.

The side of her face throbbed from the hit she had taken. She had seen the first coming and tried to step back from the brute of a woman with hatred smeared all over her ugly face but she latched onto her and wouldn't retreat. Luckily she was able to twist away and lessen the impact of some jealous woman.

She was thrice her size and weight. If she hadn't moved, her fist surely would have maimed her

The blow had stunned sapphire and she had staggered back cursing, just as a stone struck her from behind. She quickly righted herself and kept walking. Another stone and then another cut her face...

"Get that fling off my land"

"Lord Typhon, King Kai sends his apologies he won't be able to entertain you, due to pending issues, he sends you off peacefully and promises to pay hivite a warm visit"an envoy from Creedom stepped forward. Assuming the man in the center of the dozen men surrounding him, he addressed him politely 

The envoy was still atop his horse but he stopped as he dragged his trembling body off the horse.he was feeling sick to his stomach as the man in question neither spoke or spared him a glance. 

The envoy took a quick step back and patted his chest in an attempt to calm himself. He had lived a quiet, contemplative life for years and the excitement and turmoil he was facing was taking it's toil on his nerves

"Is that so?"

"Our king is a busy man sire, recently he had to settle scores with the Highlander invading his land" he rushed on when he saw the mean look in Lord Typhons eyes. The look in the man's eyes frightened him. The envoy voice trembled as he gave answers but could barely keep up with the rapidly fired questions from the sideman who stood beside the Lord 

"We've had enough old man, stop babbling"One of the men said irritated that the envoy couldn't keep his damned mouth shut, his Lord was clearly not in the mood.

"Bring your damned king"another hissed 

Distracted by the sudden noise from the forest, a warrior called out

"There is a commotion, Lord"....
