chapter 42: heart-to-heart talk

Back in the Johnson's residence

THIRD PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW

"We've been looking through this book for hours, are you sure that the memory spell is in here?" Jonathan asked as he groaned and he scrolled through the pages of the Magicia book.

"Magicia has everything, I'm sure it is one of these pages." Lauren replied as she looked at Jonathan.

"This is absolutely a waste of time, why don't we just use the own magic we have instead, Grandma?" Jonathan asked as he sighed.

"Even though we will use our magic, it won't help Heather in avoiding to lose her memories." Lauren replied as Travis walked towards them with a frown.

"Travis, do you have any luck through the parallel universe using the Fortune Telling's crystal ball?" Lauren asked as she turned at Travis then he sat down next to her.

"There is no luck at all, I travelled to the time that Juliet decided to make Heather her second life. It seems like they made an agreement that once Heather finishes all the missions of Juliet in her past, she will forget all of her memories permanently and it seems like there is nothing we can do about it because there aren't any spells for this problem." Travis replied as he sighed and Jonathan looked at him.

"So, you're saying that we spent the last three hours scrolling through these pages for nothing?!" Jonathan asked as he started raising his voice.

"Hey Jonathan, keep your voice down. You are talking to your Grandpa Travis." Lauren said as she calmed down Jonathan then he sighed.

"It's okay Lauren and you're right, Jonathan. There is nothing we can do to help Heather." Travis said as he looked back at Jonathan.

"No! I'm sure there is another solution! We need to do something please! I can bare to lose the guy I love rather than losing the girl who has been there with me for so many years!" Jonathan shouted in anger as Travis and Lauren flinched.

"I-I am sorry, I just can't bare to think that Heather will forget about me after everything we've been through together. She is special to me, not just as my bestfriend, but also as the sister I never had." Jonathan continued in his gentle voice.

"So, what do you suggest us to do, Grandson?" Lauren worriedly asked.

"We need to give Juliet more time, she is the source of Heather's life at this moment." Jonathan replied.

"But, how do we do it? Juliet is already in the parallel universe, waiting for five hours til' Heather loses her memories." Travis asked as he frowned and Jonathan stood up.

"We could use the gadget or the thing that Heather use for her to communicate with Juliet then we will destroy it." Jonathan replied then he walked away.

"Jonathan-" Travis said then Jonathan cutted him off.

"Right, I forgot to say it. Meeting adjourned." Jonathan said then he left.

"Why do you look worried, Travis?" Lauren asked as she looked at Travis.

"The jewelry Heather uses for her to communicate with Juliet is the Magicia earrings of hers. If Jonathan will destroy it, the powers in it will destroy as well." Travis replied as he worriedly looked back at Lauren then she gasped.

Meanwhile in the airplane where Heather and Rafael are at

"Are you sure we are even allowed to stay in here?" Heather asked as she looked around and they went inside.

"Of course, why wouldn't it be?" Rafael asked as he closed the door.

"Rafael, this is a private room." She replied as she crossed her arms.

"Wait, are you even sure that w-we will talk?" She nervously asked as she walked backwards and Rafael did his confused face.

"Y-Yes? And don't worry, we will be quick." He replied in confusion.

"So, what did you want to talk to me?" He asked as he sat down on the floor.

"M-Me? Why sh-should I talk first?" She panickedly asked as she sat down next to him.

"L-Ladies first." He nervously replied as they looked at each other.

Heather started shaking deep inside but she knew that she needs to tell him before it's too late. Rafael, in the other hand, wanted Heather to speak first because he doesn't know how to tell her about the Magicia and Devilio Magic.

"P-Promise you will talk after I am done." She said as she looked down.

"Sure, no problem." He said.

"I will lose my m-memories in the next five hours." She said as she sighed then he gasped.

"I-I know, it might sound crazy but for the past 18 years of my life were all handled by this girl named Juliet Fitzroy. I-I don't know if you heard her before but she suddenly died during a battle between her team and the Devilio team. Long story short, she decided that she will choose her supposed-to-be twin sister to be her second life just so she could finish all the missions back in her days. If you guessed that I am her second life, you are correct. The missions she wanted me to finish are defeating the Devilio team once and for all by destroying their magic and them, and of course, I joined the next generation's Magicia team." She continued as he looked down.

"Remember when I told you that I will visit to my parents? Part of it was a lie because I only visited them yesterday afternoon before we reunited infront of my apartment. I spent the whole day the other day and yesterday morning with the Magicia team. Even I just found out that I will lose all of my memories in the next 24 hours right after the users' reveal. Sad to say that I was asleep during the reveal awhile agowhich is the reason why the time left changed to 12 hours. I-I was scared to tell you because I was afraid that you will fall out of love after I forget my memories and y-you." She said as tears started falling down from her eyes then he pulled her in for a hug and she hugged back.

"Are you done, my princess?" He asked in a gentle voice.

"Y-Yes, I am." She replied as she sobbed then they released from hugging.

"You aren't the only one who wasn't honest to the other person all this time, Heather. I am also part of the Magicia team as well, I-I am Avior." He said as he chuckled then she gasped.

"But about your second life, I-I completely understand why you haven't told me earlier and never think that I will fall out of love for you. Because no matter what happens between us, I will love you for eternity. You will surely forget your memories so why not we create new ones? I don't mind that we will start over again, it's not a problem at all. Don't worry on how you will fall in love with me once again because I will do anything just so I could win your heart back. You and I are made for each other and nothing can keep us apart, not even your memory loss soon." He continued as she slowly smiled and he wiped her tears.

"I would be a stupid jerk if I will end up falling for another girl. I love you Heather and only you. As what our favorite character in our favorite show once said, you are the lady of my dreams. No one can change my mind, no one at all." He said as he smiled back and he started tearing up.

As Rafael was supposed to change the topic and talk about him joining the Devilio team, everything happened so fast. Heather pulled him in for a kiss then he kissed back as their tears fell down from their eyes. Rafael felt shock deep inside but he didn't care at all. He wanted to enjoy this moment before it last, same as what Heather thinks at the moment.

"Words cannot describe how much I'm in love with you, my prince." She whispered then he smiled.

After awhile, they head back to their seats. A few hours later, they finally arrived to New York City. Rafael, Heather and her family quickly went out of the plane as they bring their things. Heather looked around with a huge smile on her face. Afterwards, they grab a cab and head to Romeo's senior home. The Johnson family, on the other hand, arrived at New York City the moment Rafael, Heather and her family arrived at their destination.

"Well, it's a good thing we still have the teleportation spell for this quick trip of ours." Lauren said as she chuckled and they peaked from outside the senior home.

"Yeah but we are lucky that it teleported us a distance away from them." Travis said.

"So, is no one gonna ask on why Heather is at a senior home here in New York City?" Jonathan asked then Heather and the rest went out of the senior homes.

"Great, now Rafael is with them." Jonathan mumbled.

"I'm guessing you are my grandson's girlfriend." Romeo said as he looked at Heather.

"Oh no sir, I'm not yet his g-girlfriend." Heather nervously said.

"Wait, I've met that man." Jonathan said as he looked at Lauren and Travis.

"Who is he?" Travis asked in confusion.

"I believe I haven't introduced myself back in the senior homes. My name is Romeo McAdams, it's a pleasure to finally meet you, Heather." Romeo said as he smiled.

"It's R-Romeo." Lauren said as she and Travis looked at each other.

"Wait, is this the same Romeo whom you-" Jonathan asked then Travis cutted him off.

"That crap Romeo, I knew we would cross paths with each other soon." Travis said in anger then Jonathan secretly left Lauren and Travis.

"Hey take it easy Travis, the feud you two had happened decades ago." Lauren said as she calmed down Travis.

"Alright then but it seems like we have unexpected reunion at the moment." Travis said as he sighed.

"How are you holding up there—oh no, where is Jonathan?!" Lauren panickedly asked as Travis worriedly looked around.

Jonathan walked to the car near them so he could listen to their conversation and figure out on how he will convince Heather to give him the 'gadget that Heather uses to communicate with Juliet', thinking that once it is destroyed, Heather will have zero communication with Juliet and that she won't lose her memories. As Jonathan looked over them, he saw Heather and Rafael holding their hands. He felt goosebumps inside of him and that he wanted to be mad at them but he couldn't, for the sake of his bestfriend.
