Later, I took part in a low-budget prank show that required me to call my first love in front of a live audience.

I dialed Richard's number and said, "I want to get back together with you."

There was a moment of silence before Richard's deep voice finally came through on the other end of the line.

"I'm only 27 this year. I won't be dying anytime soon," he replied calmly.

It had been four years, seven months, and three days since I last saw Richard after our breakup.

I finally wrapped up five months of filming that night and returned home from the recording set.

My best friend Lisa called me for the fifteenth time. "Hey, superstar, why haven't you arrived yet?"

"I'm at the entrance," I replied as I stepped out of the car and walked toward the KTV lounge.
