Lucian Makes An Appearance @ Love Bites Eatery

Panic was suddenly strewn across the faces of his battalion commanders, even Andy raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"What is it sir?" Razor asked with concern, he was trying to restrain himself from going to check on his master but he knew that if he did, his master would not approve of it so he stayed put.

"Nothing, you can leave now." Lucian growled and watched quietly as his battalion commanders pranced out of the room.

As soon as they left the room, he tore his white robe open to reveal the burn mark on his belly. It was shining bright white and it had begun to burn him again, just like it always did for the past four thousand years. But for some reason, the pain was suddenly starting to get worse and more intense with time.

He gritted his teeth in pain as he clutched his abdomen. 'Damn! I really need to see Methe about this curse, it's getting worse.'

Methe was a demon priest. One of the most influential demon priests in the whole of Hell, his job just like every other demon priests was to handle spiritual issues related to demons.

After he was cursed, Lucian quickly met Methe and showed him the mark. He could still remember Methe's expression after seeing the mark, it was priceless.

"Th... This!" Methe's eyes twinkled in delight, they had the expression of a child who had just been given candy.

"What is it?" Lucian growled,

"This is a heavens grade curse seal! Only few demon priests get to see a heavens grade curse seal throughout their lives." Methe squealed,

"Is that a good thing?" Lucian asked,

"Yes... I mean, No it's not, it's definitely not." Methe now had a frown on his red devilish face as he inspected the mark closely,

"What do you mean it's definitely not?"

"I mean... this curse cannot be broken."

"No! It can't be!" Lucian screamed and grabbed Methe by the collar, "There has to be a way to fix this, you're a demon priest. Do something!"

"Easy now Lucian," Methe said calmly as he hovered fifteen feet from the ground, Methe himself was tall, around ten feet but Lucian was taller.

"I won't take it easy, this sort of thing is a weakness, and demons like me aren't supposed to have weaknesses!" Lucian yelled at Methe, "There must be a way to break this. Think!"

Methe shook his head slowly and said, "I'm sorry Lucian but there's no known way to dispel a heavens grade curse seal unless you go to heaven."

Lucian dropped Methe and turned with his fingers pressed to the sides of his head, "What does this mean?"

After studying the mark, Methe turned to Lucian, "You will fall in love with a human woman and she will be the cause of your downfall."

Lucian swelled in rage, "Me!!! Fall in love with a human woman? Me! Lucian, demon prince of wrath and second strongest being in the whole of hell! How will I fall in love with a human woman?"

"That's what the curse says Luci, even if you don't believe it, I'll advise you to stay away from human women even as you reside on Earth because we don't know which of them will be your bane." Methe advised calmly,

Lucian sighed the turned to Methe and warned him, "Nobody else should know about this, it should remain strictly between you and me."

"Yes sir." Methe said with a bow.

Lucian quickly gulped down all the contents of the glass cup that he held on his hands and went upstairs for a refill.

'This curse is a bluff....'

The Night Of The Next Day,

LOVE BITES EATERY,

"How was work today?" Derek asked with a cute smile on his face as he playfully stirred his spoon in his coffee cup.

"It was stressful," Elora groaned, "but a little bit nice sometimes."

"Oooh, what made it nice?" Derek teased,

"Whenever you smiled at me, I felt all the stress evaporate from my body." Elora replied, grinning from ear to ear.

Derek and Elora were having coffee at Love Bites Eatery after a rough day at work. Elora hadn't told Derek about Nadine and she didn't intend to because even though she didn't believe Nadine, a part of her still wanted to confirm it so she decided to keep mute about it and observe Derek for the meantime.

But looking at him grinning like a Cheshire cat and sitting across her in his work shirt that had it's sleeves rolled up to his elbows to reveal his soft arms, she couldn't bring herself to believe that he was the type of guy that would just want to use her.

As they were talking, four people walked in and the atmosphere in the restaurant suddenly changed. The person who had walked in was actually Mr. Lucian, the fast rising business mogul who made the Forbes 500, the people behind him were obviously his bodyguards but it was difficult to believe because Lucian even looked more fit than them.

"Is that who I think it is?"

"What's he doing here in a restaurant for commoners?"

"Do you think he'll give me an autograph if I ask him to?"

People whispered to each other as he walked to a table and sat down with Razor, Andy and Lilian. The moment they sat down, Andy placed his head on the table and slept off.

Elora just stared open mouthed at this extremely rich and handsome man who had just walked in, she wasn't a gold digger and she wasn't the type of girl who was attracted to good looks but there was something about this Lucian that suddenly struck a chord of attraction in her, it was like 'Crush at first sight.'

'Gosh! I'm sitting with my loving boyfriend, what am I thinking?' she still didn't take her eyes off Lucian.

She was still staring when Lucian suddenly turned and stared at her too. When his red eyes met her, she froze and tried to turn her eyes away from him but her body wouldn't obey her, she could only watch him as he frowned deeply at her and turned away quickly.

"Ahem." Derek coughed to bring Elora's attention back, he had observed what happened and it irritated him greatly.
