But their joy was short-lived, for tragedy struck just a few weeks later. One evening, as Alice was walking through the forest with Benjamin cradled in her arms, she stumbled and fell, hitting her head on a rock. When she awoke, she found herself alone in the dark, with no sign of her precious baby.

Frantically, she searched the forest, calling out for Thomas and Benjamin, but there was no response. She stumbled through the trees, her heart pounding in fear, tears streaming down her face. The villagers joined in the search, their lanterns casting eerie shadows on the trees as they called out for the lost baby.

As the hours passed and the night grew darker, Alice's hope began to fade. She was lost in the forest, with no idea where she was or where her baby could be. She sank to her knees, overcome with grief and despair, her sobs echoing through the trees.

But just as all seemed lost, a faint cry pierced the night air. Alice's heart leapt with hope, and she scrambled to her feet, following the sound of the crying. It led her deeper into the forest, through thick underbrush and tangled vines, until she came upon a clearing bathed in moonlight.
