Chapter:-6 The Ascension

Roland glances at the ring on his left hand's index finger. A blueish-silver ring faintly shines under the moonlight coming from the only window in the room.

He places his right hand over the ring and rubs it with his finger. A blueish-portal opened in front of his as unlimited amounts of potions, extraordinary items ,herbs and what not came into their view.

Roland looks towards Mr.Azik and asks "The [Death-pathway] ????...."

Mr.Azik smiles ,his black-robe with silver lining adding more charm to his looks.

"Of-course.....My [Death legacy-ring] is only compatible with the [Death-pathway]." He said as he glanced at the pitch-black ring on his right-hand's middle finger.

Roland nods and extends his arm inside the portal before grabbing something and pulling it out of the [Space]. A transparent glass container filled with dark-liquid appeared in his hand.

He tosses the glass towards Mr.Azik ,who catches it with ease before opening removing the rubber cork and drinking the liquid inside the glass.

"Rufeei hade....Rufeei hade....Rufeei hade....Rufeei hade....Rufeei hade...." Strange voice echoed inside Azik's head but he remain in effect by the voices ,successfully becoming a [Corpse-collector].

Instantly Mr.Azik's aura changed as the temperature around his dropped as an unfeeling expression appeared on his face.

Corpse Collectors gain resistance to the cold, decay, and corrosiveness of cadaveric auras.

They will be able to directly see a portion of evil spirits and see the characteristics and weaknesses of undead creatures, as well as gain certain attribute enhancements.

The user gain certain corpse characteristics. They would develop a gloomy presence and develop lower body temperature. This characteristics prevents them from been attacked by unwise zombies.

"Congratulations !!!! Mr.Azik for becoming the first ever beyonder in this world." Kite congratulated Azik before turning towards Roland.

"Your turn...I will go at last." Said Kite as he watched Roland nodding and once again putting his hand inside the portal.

This time a glass containing Primal-blue appeared in his palm. The potion was of the [Fool-pathway].

Kite and Azik watched as Roland drank the liquid inside the bottle and closed his eyes. [Gray-fog] flows out of his body preventing the whispers from disturbing him.

After becoming a god ,the [Gray-fog] fully integrated itself with Klein's soul thus providing many status effects.

One of the effects of the [Gray-fog] is that it can block the whispers of Gods/Angels easily.

After successfully transforming into a beyonder ,he gained the powers of the [Seer].

The corresponding Beyonders lack direct skills confronting enemies but are experts in divination.

They master all kinds of divination methods, including astrology, cartomancy, spiritual pendulums, spiritual numbers and scrying.

They can intuitively detect danger using their spirituality.

Not only the powers of the [Fool-pathway] were boosted by the [Gray-fog] but it also had [Anti-divination] properties.

Due to being the lowest sequence [Seer] didn't had much to offer but after upgrading to the next level, the combat abilities of the [Fool-pathway] are boosted up by a notch.

"Welcome [The one above the Gray-fog]....You have successfully reciprocated the [Fool-pathway]. Guess it's my turn now..." Said Kite as he stepped forward while his white cape flustered behind his back.

He reached for the portal and placed his arm inside it. Four glasses ,containing four different characteristics and four different pathways were all drank by him.

"Mufuba mizyui.....Mufuba mizyui.....Mifuba mizymui.....Mifuba mizyui....." Voiced echoed inside his head while Roland covered Kite with his [Gray-fog].

The whispers slowly ,slowly disappeared as the four-pathway transformation stared.

Kite had chosen [Spectator] ,[Reader] ,[Apothecary] and [Bard] as his extraordinary powers.

Spectators possess keen powers of observation. Just like watching operas and dramatic performances, they look at people strictly from a bystander's perspective, discovering people's true thoughts from their expressions, their manners, their oral habits, and their subconscious actions.

However, whether it is at an extravagant banquet or in a lively street, a Spectator is always just a spectator - they can never take the stage themselves.

Kite decide to become a Spectator due to it's potential. The [Dreamer-pathway] is extremely strong in both offense and defense once high-level in obtained.

Apothecary because of the support it provided Kite with. He already had extremely strong offensive abilities due to wielding the [Holy-sword].

What he need was a good support pathway and the [Moon-pathway] is excellent for providing with support skills.

The corresponding Beyonders are herbal experts, their products possessing distinct characteristics of folk medicine.

Bard due to it's heavy offensive output against demons and evil spirits by utilizing items from the [Sun-domain].

It would allow the Beyonder to imbue courage and strength for themselves and their allies through their singing, a "job" that brought about devotion and submission.

It belonged to the [Sun-pathway] which is very effective against monsters and evil.

Finally Reader, the abilities provided by the [Reader-pathway] were extremely useful and worked perfectly with the [Sun-pathway] spells and items.

Whereas the sequence, Apothecary and Spectator will also be complementary to each other creating fabulous effects in the long run.

Readers gain improvements to their reasoning capabilities and memory.

After 5 minute the [Gray-fog] covering Kite dispersed as a man wearing white admiral uniform with a white cape and golden handled sword hanging from his waist came into view.

Kite's whole body radiated warmth and brilliance as the temperature around his body increased slightly signifying successful ascension to [Bard], his blue-eye gained an sparkle streak signifying successful ascension of [Reader], while the other to pathway didn't have any changes in outward appearance.

"Congratulations on ascending the four-pathways, though the beginning level don't have much fire power, not that you need any but the later levels are extremely strong and versatile." Said Roland.

[Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them.]

"Both of you leave for the [Border land] ,I need to talk to father..." Said Kite to which Azik and Roland nodded and moved towards the [Royal carriage].

Kite left the room and headed towards the [Throne-room]. After walking for some distance he could see a huge door made of pure gold with the symbol of Graycastle engraved on it.

Two guard ,wearing army tunic and silver armor bowed to show their respect to the [God-general]. They pushed the huge door open as the view inside became clear to see.

On the sides ,sat ministers wearing extravagant clothes ,two attendant behind each one of them. They have arrogant look in their eyes ,the pride of being below one but above millions.

At the end of the room sat the King wearing golden robes ,the throne was made of gold with a huge diamond embedded on it's armrest. Two paladin stood guard behind him and many more in the shadows.

Upon seeing his favourite son ,giving him a visit he immediate let out a smile as he waved his hand before asking "What happened my son ???"

Kite got down on one knee before bowing his head to show respect to his father, the King. He spoke in a soft tone but his voice strangely sounded extremely clear to the King.

"I want to talk to his Majesty about something important, I request for a private audience...." Said Kite.
