Chapter :-34 Massacre (Part-4)

Roar.....!!!!

A beastly roar resounded throughout the place as the metal strap that once clamped the beast's mouth know laid broken on the ground.

The three abominations turned their eyes towards Kite and the silent undead. Green eyes with no iris, saliva flowed out of their mouth while they're long claws embedded itself in the ground.

The desire to slaughter oozed out of their bodies like an unending river. The only thing they knew was to slaughter. They had to be killed, for the same of humanity.

Tchh.....!!!!

The earth cracked, pillars dark enough to be comparable to this cold night emerged out of the ground. The beast jumped or at least wanted to since their instincts told them to do so.

Scream.....!!!!

Suddenly a high pitched vocal resounded inside the minds of the monsters, causing a little delay which became the reason why one of them couldn't escape in time.

The two-story-tall, 30-cm thick pillar perfectly encased the beast inside the cage-like structure which was formed by them.

The place where they were very near to the old castle, the three witches guarding the castle noticed the presence of such monsters inside the town and decided to kill it for good.

Kattara, Witch of the Mind used her powers to prevent the beasts from escaping while Cynthia, Witch of the Shadow encased the beasts inside her pillar which her summoned using the shadows of the beasts themselves.

Meanwhile, Mellena, Witch of Light stayed back in the castle since someone had to guard the castle. Also, the process of making her magic is quite a time hassle. So she decided to stay back and guard the castle.

Roar.....!!!!

The angered beast roared once again, he swung his claws towards the thick, black pillars which looked like polished marble.

Shing.....!!!!

It was the chains that made the noise after being draped over the ground. When the beast swung his claws towards the dark pillar, in hopes of breaking the cage. The chain was swung along due to the momentum of the swung.

The chains broke apart and scattered all over the floor after the impact but unfortunately, a large piece of the pillar was ripped apart by his claw.

The pillar showed signs of movement as the torn part started regenerating slowly at a visible rate. Seeing that one of them was trapped inside the strange cage. The other two immediately rushed towards Kite and Azik.

'Fast and Nimble.....' he noted while taking a step back, he kneeled down on one knee and stabbed his sword in the ground over to his left-hand side.

The beast madly swung its claws towards Kite, the sword glowed with white light. Upon contact with the blade, contrary to it's thought where Kite would be sent flying, he could no longer feel his claws.

Blood splashed everywhere as the arm was cut clean by the sword as a hot knife cuts through butter. The beast howled in pain and anger as he looked away.

This gave Kite a chance that he wouldn't let go of. He rotated his body as his shield collided with the frenzied beast, sending it flying backward by the sheer force Kite displayed.

After becoming a [Beast Tamer], he gained a lot of physical attributes which allowed him to push back a monster like the one in front of him.

The beast crashed into the wall and fell on the ground before quickly getting back on his paws. He gazed Kite with the intent to kill and rushed towards him without any regard for its previous encounter.

'Impressive vitality and quite a thick body reinforcement' he further noted before avoiding the monster's claws.

Kite nimbly dodges the attacks and observed the monster for some time as he thought. 'These beasts have strong defense, strong offensive and are very fast but they don't have much of a brain in them.'

Whistle.....!!!!

The wind continued to hum a tone since Kite continued to dodge the attacks and waited, bidding his time. Annoyed due to Kite dodging his every attack, the beast roared and jumped at Kite.

He coldly smiled as he lowered his sword and tossed a crystal in the air as the beast jumped at him.

{''Fire burns and fire turns all evil and harm away from me.''} he chanted as the crystal started glowed with abnormal light and burst into flames as soon as it made contact with the beast mid-air.

This was the ability to use chants, charms, etc as an [Bard] of the [Sun-pathway]. The beast was once again thrown by the kinetic energy gained in the explosion.

It was extremely hurt by the chant but still, it survived and its thirst for blood was still abysmal.

'Annoying preservative skills' he noted before he digested further information using his [Reader] powers which were already digested.

He rushed towards the beast who opened its mouth and launched a lot of green-colored flames towards the incoming Kite who merely raised his shield and continued on while blocking the flames.

Even so, the beast didn't stop so didn't Kite. He forged forward and slashed his sword vertical upwards. A white haze covered his sword as the beast was cut in two halves by his attack.

[Meanwhile]

Azik dodged left and avoided getting hit by the green flames that the monster spat out. The Beast's body was covered in wounds as Azik had repetitively stabbed by his spear.
