Chapter :-25 A Glimpse of Past (Part-3)

Inside a well furnished room, red carpet covering the floor with green colored theme for the walls. On the walls, several heads of deer, lions, tiger ,etc hung, giving a spooky feeling.

On the table, a vase and ash-tray were kept, beside the table sat a middle-aged man, Smoking. He wore green floral robe with silver embroidery. His left hand held a wooden case, with exquisite patterns on it surface.

Inside the room were many people, some wore silver armor with sharp spear firmly grasped in their hands while others wearing strange cult-type clothes.

Their was this strange peaceful atmosphere inside the room, the person smoking was the only one sitting on a chair while the others remain standing. They were apparently waiting for the man to speak.

He had green-iris ,sharp eyes like an eagle's whereas his brows were joint ,brown colored brushy brows. He expression was one of apathy while he smoked the cigar.

He inhaled the smoke, but as destined it came out from his nose. He flicked cigar and looked towards the people standing in front of him.

"I want you to burn all the ration of [Border town], nothing should remain there for them to eat. I want to see that waste of prince beg me for food." Anger was evident on the ugly face of this human scum.

"How dare he refuse my kindness!!!!, he should have just given me those crystals and move here to spend the winter. But he dared to reject this offer and even somehow built a wall around the [Border town]."

"Take more men with you, explosives to blast that damned wall. I will also see how does he survive this winter.....humph..!!!" Apparently this noble, along with others had sent his representative to negotiate with Roland about the trade cost and protection fees.

But unfortunately, Roland already had the plan discussed with Kite and Azik. Even the so-called god couldn't change his decision now.

So to make Roland pay, this idiot hired the most notorious mercenaries to burn down the food stock kept in the warehouse behind the castle ,while blast the nearly completed wall.

By doing so not only the people of [Border town] starve to death, would have to beg for food but also would seek shelter till the [Months of Demons] is over. If something like this would happen then not only would the people start hating Roland but also the hardwork done till now would go to waste.

"Making a move against the 4th Prince is same as challenging the royal family, if not enough money, then we would be taking this mission." The nasty giant of a man replied in a greedy tone.

"30 Gold coins, even after dividing this much amount you all will be able to fulfill your dreams." negotiated the man as he kept his cigar in the ash-tray.

After hearing the words of the middle-aged man, the [Smoking skull gang] all had the same greedy grin on their face.

The huge-man from before spoke up "If you agree to one of our condition then consider the work done....." the grin on his face couldn't get nastier.

The middle-aged man frowned but eventually nodded his head , indicating that he was willing to listen.

"We want one of your maids..." sorry I was wrong, he could make an expression even nastier than before but this time his lustful nature could also be clearly seen on his face.

The Middle-aged man thought for sometime before nodded his head, agreeing to his condition but also added that they must finish their task within 6 days.

"Don't worry leave everything to us boss, just make sure our 'prize' is prepared. Hahahahahaha hahahah!!!!!!!!....." laughed the dumb horny beasts.

{The 4th night}

"Boss, we have taken care of the guards. Let's quickly ignite the ration and leave, I am not feeling comfortable near the vicinity of this old castle."

"It feels like I am stared at by the dead...it's frightening cold out here. Let's quickly return so that I can warm myself with that maids body." spoke a short statured man, with crooked nose and a disgusting face.

They had travelled for 3 days to reach the [Border town], after bribing the guards at the village gate they arranged for an empty place where they could prepare the explosives.

They were wearing black clothes with a smoking skull printed on the back of it. It was already dark outside. People working in the mines had already returned to their home while the Stonemasons had returned to their guild.

The atmosphere was quite cold, rain and lightning indicated the bad climate which usually comes at the time of [Months of demons].

The gang had already killed the two guards, responsible for guarding the backdoor which lead to the warehouse.

They cut their throats and dragged their body in the bushes, since it was raining the smell of blood would be masked giving them ample of time to finish their task.

The warehouse was old but well maintained, other than some small cuts and little leakage there was no other problem with it. It was pretty huge ,about 3 stories with proper sections to store food.

The place was behind the castle, thus the wall gave them protection from prying eyes. Initially they planned to set the whole warehouse on fire but due to the rain, they could only ignite it from inside.

They needed to be fast, total 28 people came to the town through hidden routes. They had planned to use the panic ,unrest and the distraction caused by the burning to ration and also blast the city wall.

For this they had divided the total men into two groups with unequal number of people. 10 will be responsible for burning the warehouse and give the other 18 signal to ignite the explosives.

As soon as the explosives are ignited and the wall destroyed ,must leave the town as soon as possible, no room for failure.

The two groups had already taken their positions, the 10 people moved inside the warehouse while staying alert of their surrounding.

But one thing went unnoticed by them, the bodies of the guards were already cold even before their death like....dead bodies. The bushes had traces of blood on them but somehow there was no body.
