Chapter :-22 Completetion of Wall

Creak...The door opened ,Roland didn't look who came through it, his hands were busy writing different scripts for administration of the border town. Roland was wearing golden outlined robe, his [Death knell] hung from his belt.

The room was illuminated by candles and [fire-place], the light provided by these sources weren't much, especially at night. For a normal person it would be hard to maintain his eyesight but after Roland became [Sequence 8:-Clown], his bodily functions, reflex action, muscle memory, senses were highly enhanced.

"What did you got from that guy????...." Roland asked while Kite sat of the sofa near [Fire-place], beside him on the wooden table lay a bottle of coffee. In this world there was nothing such as coffee.

Frank, one of Klein's or should I saw German sparrow's friend ,who was from [Planter pathway] invented special seeds which resembled the characteristics of coffee beans.

The beans were self-reproductive and didn't need sunlight or any other natural factor to grow.

Only a little amount of spirituality and the farming of coffee beans became possible. Roland and Kite both were heavy coffee drinkers so leaving in this world without coffee was another hard thing to indure.

Kite didn't reply ,he pulled the jug kept on the table and poured the hot milk inside the cup lying beside the jug. He picked up the coffee bottle and poured some coffee into the milk before stirring the content using a spoon.

His hand became hot, a yellow glow covered his palm which was holding the cup as the other continued stirring using the spoon. After some time ,sweet aroma filled the entire room.

He took a sip of the coffee and exhaled a mouthful of air, his muscles relaxed ,his back laid comfortably at the sofa. He looked at Roland before saying "The intruders were taken care off ,some more will target the walls with explosives but it will take them some time to arrive here in the border town."

"Hmmm...You take care of them while deal with the problems of managing this town. I can't do this forever as we have a much bigger goal to accomplish." Roland stopped writing and put down his quill.

"What about Nightingale???...." Asked Kite as he sip his coffee. His hood was removed ,the handsome face had an unusual glow under the illumination of the [Fire-place].

"She is currently under Mellena's watch and is sharing a room with them. I asked Mellena to keep a watch on her and try to convince her to join us, together with the other witches."

"Though her ability to see mana is problematic, if someone utilizes magic near her then she would know about it. Since thats the case, I can't risk Kattara into influencing her mind." Said Roland with a sigh.

Kite smiled as he said "It's okay.....their camp is very close to a horde of demons. If everything goes right then expect some more witches in the castle." His expression was indifferent.

"I see.... Azik-san should be able to promote to next level soon. What about your progress ????" Asked Roland after looking at Kite for sometime.

"My [Reader] is close to digesting completely, reading books really helped. [Spectator] has been completely digested ,but I am waiting for the months of demons to begin. [Apothecary] has also been digested thanks to Frank's notes and experiments, it helped me in creating many different kinds of potions."

"Even playing docter with Nana helped me. [Bard] well to tell the truth ,I haven't made any progress with this one ....Yet. One is required to pray to [Eternal Blazing Sun] to digest the potion, but this world doesn't have him."

"So creating a [Spiritual-Mausoleum] is nesscary along with using the [Fire-element charms]. Ask the [Mason-Guild] to make it near the castle location along with a throne inside it." Kite looked at the [fire-place] ,the flames danced beautifully.

"What about the next level of [Reader], the information along with the ingredients are missing, even with the [Cards of blasphemy] it is too hard for you to ascend to next level." A frown appeared on his face as he thought about the missing blocks of the sequence.

"Don't worry I will exchange pathway to skip the next level. Generally only after ascending to at least Sequence-5 can you exchange pathways if any but [Reader] pathway is special as we can switch with [Folk of rage] from [Tyrant pathway]."

"After I promote to sequence 7 I will again change back to [Reader pathway], so it wouldn't be a problem for me." Said Kite.

Knock...Knock..The door which was sealed using spirituality was knocked twice before a voice travelled inside the room.

"Master & Your Highness, I have detected a squad of 6 people heading towards the town walls. They are currently in the east-jungle to move more freely and hide their positions." Kattara's voice was crystal clear. They had come.

Kite stood up while the knob twisted open, two figure came into view, one was Kattara while standing beside her was Nightingale in her assassin dress.

Nightingale immediately noticed that the mysteries person, who was apparently one of the 3 leader wasn't wearing his hood. Unfortunately his back was facing her so she couldn't see his face.

Kite put down the cup and wore his hood before motioning Kattara to follow him. He glanced towards Roland and said in his usual calm tone.

"I will take care of them, make sure that the construction is finished by tomorrow also don't forget what we discussed. Kattara, you and Cynthia will follow me." Saying so he walked towards the door.

Just as he passed Nightingale, she suddenly spoke "I too want to come....". Kite glanced at her for a moment before nodding his head slightly.
