Chapter:- 19 Meeting Nightingale (Part-1)

"You are in possession of a [God's retribution stone], the purity of the materials is unusually high. The first time when Roland went to see Anna. Everyone excluding you and Roland was extremely cautious. Even a trained, seasoned knight like the Chief knight was afraid of Anna."

"But you!!!, though it seemed like you too were afraid of her, you were actually not afraid. Fear causes one's body to tense up and face muscles to become rigid but not only your face expression but also your body language didn't match."

"That day I decided to keep an eye on you so I tailed you. After you returned to home and began to relax, the [God's retribution stone] on your neck deepen my doubts."

"Then there at the port, when the monthly church supply cargo transport would arrive ,you would send the item box to the crew and deport them from this place. Not only this but you also act as an informant for church, gathering information of different nobles here in the southern part so that the influence of the church can slowly control the whole region." Kite gave him facts, no mercy ,he had extracted all the funds and items which were under the housekeeping of the executioner for himself.

Rage.....His calm facade was gone and was now replaced with boundless rage. His eyes narrowed, fist clenched tightly as he gritted his teeth.

"How can you!!!! side with the demons, these witches, they are evil incarnation, they kill people for fun, they are the sins of this world and the sorrow of the God. They....argghhh....." A sword went straight through his throat, instantly killing him. Kite had decisively struck when he saw an opening.

More blood splattered upon his clothes, till now the executioner had an angry, hateful expression on his face. He wasn't given the time required to process what had happened.

Kite pulled out his sword from the executioner's dead body, causing it to fall backwards on the floor with a thumph.

"Witches aren't demons or devil, they are just different from others. Not you ,not church, not me or anyone has the right to control their fate and use them for fulfilling our own dreams and aspirations." Saying this he looked towards Mellena and said in a calm tone.

"Take care of this mess....." She nodded and raised her hand above her breast, palmed them together ,channeling her mana into her hands resulting, a bright light to emerge from her palm.

She creates a transparent 3D cube, covered the body inside it and channeled more mana into the structure. The cube shone with a bright light, becoming opaque for sometime. The light was so bright that ,if the room wasn't sealed by Azik's spirituality then the whole [Border town] would have seen it.

The dead bodies ,blood ,it all just disappeared leaving behind smoke and dust. It was like these things never existed in the first place. Nightingale was astonished by the power of Mellena's magic.

She suddenly had a thought 'Could anyone in the camp, defeat her....Probably not except me as I may be able to phase through before it hits me.'

The whole process was extremely simple, no noise was created during the casting or working of magic, it was efficient and clean.

Drops of sweat appeared on Mellena's face, her heartbeat slightly raised, her face slightly red, her breathing slightly uneven, her face expression ,slightly tired.

Kite observed her using his [Spectator] ,during all this time investigating and collecting clues his potion has been nearly fully digested. Suddenly under his hood, his eyes glowed with a blue streak, [Reader] kicked in as information on Mellena appeared.

[Light magic] seem to require a certain amount of preparation time, making it possible to prematurely halt the technique before it is completed. The hands also play a crucial role in the preparation, so interfering with the user's arms can hinder the magic. [Light magic] seems to be rather mana-taxing.

Azik who had been quiet all this time finally spoke "The guests are taken care of..."

Roland looked towards Mellena and then at the empty space beside her. He said in a low tone "Whatever happened inside the room, shouldn't be known outside....Please do remember this."
