His fate was predetermined: fight, defend, and perish with the stars, a mere cog in the great machinery of creation. But something within him resisted this cruel fate. A seed of defiance sprouted in his heart, whispering of freedom. He sought a way to transcend the cosmic chains—to escape, to defy destiny, to seize freedom at any cost. As a mortal, he felt the agony of watching his loved ones wither and die, powerless to stop the decay of time. He wept for children, lovers, friends. As an emperor, he conquered kingdoms and wielded unimaginable power, only to be betrayed by those he trusted most, dragged from his throne, and executed in shame. As a beggar, he wandered the streets, starving and shivering under the cold gaze of uncaring gods. As a villain, he became the monster in stories told to frighten children—burning cities, drowning nations in blood, only to be hunted and killed by the heroes of those same tales. As a saint, he gave everything—his wealth, his strength, his life—to others, only to discover that gratitude was fleeting and the world did not remember the sacrifices of the righteous. But, Every failure, every death, every betrayal—they were nothing but steps on a long, infinite path. And the path had only one direction: up, through the layers of existence, through the fabric of reality itself. No prison could contain him. No curse could hold him. His heart whispered one thing to him, a truth carved into his soul:Move forward. Always forward. Because he was Li Shenrong—the Lord of the Celestial Throne.
All of a sudden the previous joy of surviving vanished. Everyone became sentimental as they started lamenting their fate.
"Heaven doesn't want our locust sect to exist anymore." Many elders casted their head down in sorrow.
"That bastard sea god caused our master to suffer dao injury! I'll shower his nine generation of ancestors with my urine." Some cursed loudly.
"Its not that her cure is impossible but… " Li shenrong paused and looked at jessy. Her eyes were full of hope.
"…. Are you willing?" Before li shenrong could finish his words Jessi quickly nodded her head and agreed.
"The process will be extremely painful and lengthy. This is not just a healing this is a complete rebuilding for your physic. If your heart waver in the process of rebuilding then you will die." Li shenrong looked directly in her eyes and spoke.
"I am willing." Jessi uttered with determination.
The elders trusted li shenrong very much as they started cheering again.
Everyone started celebrating.
Few female disciples helped jessi to move out of the battlefield.
"Elders, capture the sect masters and interrogate them one by one." Before leaving she ordered coldly.
Punishment hall elder moved toward the cowering sect masters. He captured and sealed their cultivation swiftly.
They didn't dare to let out a fart in fear of li shenrong crushing their skull just like the sea god.
"Sir li, please come this way with me." An elder respectfully bowed toward li shenrong and led him to a mountain peak.
Li shenrong looked around and saw that the mountain peak was full of rich spiritual energy. Standing at the peak he could see a grand beautiful scenery.
He stood at the highest peak and took a deep breath as the morning sunlight shone on his handsome face.
"This place is nice."
"Haha of course, this is our ancestral peak. Our first ancestor was a true god who was strongest under the heaven. He created this peak all by himself for cultivation ahh!…." Sudden realisation dawned upon him which caused the elder to choke on his own saliva.
He immediately went on his knees and begged for mercy.
"Forgive me lord, i am a stupid and fool. I will cut out my tongue to atone for this sin. How can i forget that lord you are a grand revived emperor even our ancestors will be a junior in front of you."
"I am no emperor, just a mortal." He smiled and helped the elder stand up.
"Thank you lord for your mercy." The elder wiped the sweat off of his forehead. He almost peed his pants in fear.
After leaving the ancestral peak he slapped himself hard "pa pa pa" few times and reminded himself not to speak out of line ever again.
Li shenrong laughed as he watched the elder leave.
"Being a mortal again feels nice. How long has it been?"
Li shenrong spoke to himself as he sat down somewhere randomly.
'Currently i am just a regular mortal. I need to start my cultivation step my step again. After years of accumulation and experience my talent is supreme grade but my aptitude is zero.'
