Wounds and compressions.
The dungeon that the family was going to face in South America was really dangerous. It had suicidal monsters that would jump on their enemies to explode.
It also had some spike-spitting monsters, shaped like rats and the size of bears.
Inside there were 1 minor god and 3 demigods. The family was able to confront them, but nothing remained of the confrontation.
The god was as volatile as his minions, causing their quick death by exploding and damaging the whole group. It even intensely wounded Braihms, who tried to defend the whole group.
It was unexpected that a god would commit suicide in such a way, yet it happened.
