Chapter 6

While I was roaming around the building, I looked around the area, meeting new people. So, since in The ZAA you work with three other people. I get to meet them today, because I get my first mission today! Which just gets me super excited!!!

I just hope they don't mind having a kid on their team.. Though it shouldn't matter because I passed in the end. I think after I meet my squad, we head to the founders office to go receive our mission. I wonder what we're gonna go up against.

I looked down at my papers, seeing the room I was meant to go to. I grabbed the knob and opened the door. I'd look around, seeing all three of them in there.

They looked at me with a confused look.

"Are you lost?" One of them asked standing up.

"No? This is the room I was sent to to meet my squad." They all sighed.

"Of course we get paired up with a kid..." Another of them said sitting down. I walked up rolling my eyes.

"Just because I'm a kid doesn't mean I'm not as good as you all. After all, I passed the tryout." I said leaning on the wall. I looked down at my paper.

"So, my name is Keitaro Katsunori." I said introducing myself. One of the guys spoke up first, "I'm Riku Akio." I nodded and look at another one of our members.

"Natsu Souta." I then looked over at our last member. "And I'm Jin Kin." He said smiling.

"Alright. Nice to meet you all!" I said walking towards the door.

"Come on, lets get our mission." Akio rose an eyebrow.

"Huh?" He asked as I shook my head.

"You didn't know? When I got your files, I was told that after I met you all, to go to the founders office to get our first mission as a squad!" I said swinging the door open. Everyone got up, picked up their suitcases and followed in behind me. I can't wait to see who we're going against.

We soon reached the office as I knocked and we came in. "Hello Mr. Founder. We're here for our first mission." I said walking up to his desk. He spun around towards us.

"Ah, Keitaro. Yes, here." He said sitting down a file of an Zonbi. "This is the warrior level Zonbi The Scorpion. He's been spotted near the east side of town. His feeding there has increased so he's gonna be insanely stronger. But you all should be able to take it on." He explained giving us the location.

"Alright. We won't disappoint you sir." Kin said walking out first. I followed in behind him. Huh, the scorpion huh. I wonder how strong he is. Guess we'll see.

"Are you all ready?!" I asked pumping my fist into the air.

"Quit treating this like a game." Aiko said putting his avaliable hand in his pocket. I looked at him. "You keep treating this like a game. You'll die." I sighed and rolled my eyes.

This isn't a game, we're trying to change the world by getting rid of these bastards. Maybe I should take this more seriously...

Hooder's POV

I was sitting outside watching Mr. Kashikoi and Hiraku train. Hiraku threw a punch as Mr. Kashikoi dodged it easily. Hiraku threw a few more punches before trying to land a kick, but Mr. Kashikoi blocked it.

Man, his reactive abilities are insane. I glanced down at my book. One thing I noticed when reading this book, was the fact that Half Zonbi's actually have way more potential than normal full Zonbi's.

They are stronger, faster, faster healing, faster react time, and better defense. The only downside, is it takes more time and effort to evolve and improve their stages. Honestly, after learning this, it makes me feel like I should do some training but... I'm still not sure.

"Hey Hooder." Aimi said sitting beside me. I looked over.

"Oh hi Aimi." I said closing my book looking towards her. "What are you thinking about?" She asked.

"Well... It's not important." I said looked down. "O-Oh okay..."

"Mr. Raitoningu and Miss Sana." We both looked towards Mr. Kashikoi as Hiraku came to a stop. "I want you all to attack me at once." I stood up and looked towards at Aimi. I shrugged as we walked up beside Hiraku.

Hiraku stood in the middle, I stood on the right of Hiraku and Aimi stood at the left of Hiraku.

"Alright come at me." We all ran towards Mr. Kashikoi. Hiraku threw the first attack, throwing a punch at his nose, but Mr. Kashikoi was quicker, dodging. Aimi was next as she extended her fist towards him, as the size of her hand increased, as his eyes widened. He had to think fast, jumping up into the air. I jumped up, throwing a kick at him, but I could tell my form was off and had no balance at all.

He grabbed my leg and tossed me towards Hiraku, as the mouth on his hand caught me with its tongue. Mr. Kashikoi landed and we ran towards him again.

"Now, i'm going to attack back." I gulped now I'm nervous, I have no idea what i'm doing!! Mr. Kashikoi appeared in front of me landing a punch to my gut, I spit some blood getting sent into the ground.

My vision began to go blurry. Jeez, he didn't even try and hold back... I'm going to just... go to sleep... I closed my eyes and fell unconscious... This sucks...

A few hours later...

I was just about to head home, but made sure to grab my books. Yeah, I'm not interested in training or fighting.

After I walked up to the front door Hiraku and Mr. Kashikoi said bye as I walked out. Aimi left a while ago. Since she had to do something or whatever. She wouldn't go into detail with it. But it doesn't bother me...

I don't know why... I'm feeling weird, and feel like I'm being followed. My ears popped, looking around the area. What is that?

"Whoooooo Whooooo!!" I heard as I looked up. Something crashing down in front of me causing a huge smoke cloud. I coughed a bit, covering my eye.

I looked towards the cloud of smoke waiting for the smoke to clear. Once it was somewhat clear, my eyes widened... N-No way...

H-How... How is he alive?!
