"Elder Ren, fellow villagers, just look at the way Liu family behaves. Each time when they provoke trouble or mess up the order inside the village, they will smartly try to figure out a way to push the crime on someone else's head, and if it's not possible they will just try to sweep everything under a carpet relying on the fact that Grandma Liu has hit her old age."

Liu Xiaolan saw that she successfully gained the attention of the people nearby and she continued, "Once or twice, everyone can forget it because of the life long affection as neighbors. But how many times has the Liu family made trouble in the village now?"

When everyone thought about it, what Liu Xiaolan said made sense.

Even aside from the few times that they have been making trouble with her and made a mess out of nothing, in the past couple of years Liu family brought trouble for the villagers quite a few times.

Let's not say that Grandma Liu is rash and provokes trouble everywhere she goes, but there has been times when Liu Weixin came back drunk and behaved aggressively towards other people in the village...

Overall, Liu family's reputation in the village is not too good. If not for the fact that they were a little rich compared to other families in Liuojia Village and could send their children to receive education in a college in the city, their family wasn't better than other people.

After all, the folks from the village might be a little stupid and have not gone through any education, but their lives are still simple and honest. There aren't many people in the village who would make trouble and fight with other people.

The only saving grace for the Liu family could be Liu Weihao, who for years tried keeping his reputation clear in order to have chances of becoming an official. But now, even he and his wife couldn't stand the Liu family and left for a better life in the city.

Su Jingyi already had a bad opinion about the Liu family since the last time they've made trouble with Liu Xiaolan. She sympathised a little with her and said, "Little girl Liu is telling the truth. Do you guys remember that time when Liu Weixin was drunk and almost raped Widow Zhao?"

More and more villagers were pointing out Liu family's crimes done during their years in the village, and soon the situation almost became hostile.

Elder Ren was also disgusted with the Liu family, but he needed to look at the bigger picture here. The Liu family had done many wrong things, but because nobody ever cared to count all of them together, they could run free without worrying about their wrongdoings.

Although he wanted to kick them out of the village and get rid of these shameless people, he couldn't just do it without any reason. And just starting a little fight today won't be enough. They haven't hurt anyone, just look at Liu Weixin, he looks worse than the real victim today…

With no other choice, Ren Xipeng could only sigh and try to appease the villagers. "Alright, I've heard your voices. But we can't just kick out people from our village without them actually committing a big fault. What if our village's reputation fell down because of this?"

Shen Meijing said no good in her mind and quickly grabbed her mother-in-law before she could offend anyone more. She said with a stiff smile, "Elder Ren, I'm very sorry for this. We'll go back to not make any more trouble for you…"

She truly couldn't fathom how Yan Rusheng could be so stupid. Her mother-in-law was never the smartest person around, but can't she even see that Elder Ren actually helped them out a little?
