Meeting him, again?

Leopold simply and quietly entered the entrance door as security barricaded themselves in front of the doorway to stop the Media from coming in and disturbing the Heir, while I carefully watched him on the television.

At one point, I was fascinated by how composed he is. He was renowned for his strong intellect, education, and skill among all sports.

He certainly deserves appreciation in my eyes because he already possessed everything.

Indeed, I had to admit that I envied him for his incredible talents! Naturally, I was no match for him. I simply inhaled deeply and sat back down on the couch.

What will I do next? Will Auntie say anything to me? I'm running out of time, too!

I allowed myself to think so much that I completely missed turning off the TV. After approximately a minute of standing still, my phone abruptly rang.

I took a hasty grab for it after shortly being baffled.

"Hello?"

"Oh yes, Is this Ms. Ghilette Haven Fritz?"The other line answered in a female voice.

"Yes ma'am, This is her." I politely answered.

She responded in a kind tone, "Wonderful, This is the Goldenleaf Bank. Regarding your application to apply, it didn't meet our Bank company standard. We are sorry for this unexpected news, but we will return to you any documents you previously sent.

I almost swoon from the sudden event.

I didn't got through? Again?

"I-i see then...Thank you.." I said in dismayed.

"You're welcome and have a nice day," And she ended the call.

I slowly putted my phone down from my ear and rewinds in my mind what just happened a second ago.

Even though I know I shouldn't break down but what occurred today? Very unfair! I fought the urge to cry but failed. Time is simply wasted, but someday, someday! Whatever it takes, I'll find employment!

I got up from the couch and looked in my pants' pocket for my pen, but when I did, I couldn't find my journal!

"M-my Journal?! Where did it go?!" I panicked and started checking the places where I've last been.

AhHh!! Where did I last left it?!

I've already been searching nook and corner around my whole apartment, Still can't find it!

I messed my hair out of frustration on how I easily forget important things. While still searching for about half an hour, it suddenly came in my mind the coffee shop.

Immediately getting my things and heads out from my apartment.

~*~

It's almost time for closing! Also, I can see that stores are closing through the bus window. It's almost nine o'clock when I checked my phone!

I'm growing upset with how slowly the bus travels. After making a few left turns and twists around the bus, I eventually arrived at my location and carefully unloaded.

Norwich Street..

I came to find the coffee shop by making my way along the sidewalk.

I'm confident that I will arrive in time because I know it's only a few blocks and turns away. After a few more strolls, I was going to turn when I noticed that the coffee shop had already closed.

I grunted in frustration and walked up to the shop's windows to see if anyone was still inside, which I disappointingly did not.

I can't lose that journal! There are important dates, notes, and plans written down there!

I don't know if I'll come to tears or what but my day got already the worst of it.

I said helplessly, "What am I going to do?," and tried to peer into the dark coffee shop through its large window.

I can't just leave here without anything! I needed my journal back!

"Excuse me Miss,"

I was startled when a male voice called me from behind, quickly turning around to see who it was and it was the--

"We meet again." He chuckled with a smile.

It's the guy from earlier!

"H-hey..." I answered with my awkward smile.

Is this person following me? I'm sorry, but despite his wonderful looks, I can't promise that he's a good guy since I lack trust. Right?

"Are you looking for something perhaps?" He asked and I answered in a nod.

I noticed he carries a paper bag with him. It seems he shopped something. Then he grabbed something inside and there revealed on his hand was my Journal!

"I believed this is yours," He said then he gave it to me.

I felt relieved getting my hands on this precious Notebook.

I stared at him bewildered and stammered, "H-how? How did you know this is mine?"

"We ran into each other this morning, and I immediately recognized the handwriting, so I believed it was yours."

This man has saved my sanity!

He chuckled when I said, "T-thank you so much! I thought I'd lost this but then again I wanted to thank you so badly!"

"You're welcome, Miss," he replied with a big smile.

Is that just me? Or perhaps his white, flashing teeth are beginning to irritate my eyes, and it kind of felt like... awkward..

"Then I'll be first, I'm in a hurry. Thank you again." I said and turned around to take my leave.

"Wait."

I stopped from my tracks when he called me.

"Are you alone? If you are, I'll offer you a ride to your home, Is that alright? besides it's already night and I can't let you walk alone in the dark." He offered in a soothing tone. I turned back at him and then our eyes met.

His molten gold eyes stares mine.

I was the first to look away from his heart warming stare after we had been like that for almost a minute.

Now, I can probably accept his offer as payment for returning my journal to this guy.

I quickly said, "Uh..sure."

"It will be difficult to board on the bus in this kind of hour so it's better if I drive you home safely. Come with me and I'll go get my car." He said then started to walk away.

So I had no choice but to follow him as well.

Yet, what I heard from him, gave me the impression as if I deserved to be cared.

When following him, I glanced behind him and noticed his height and immaculate physical condition, which made me curious to remember more about him.
