At the throne room Mr. Lawrence was approved on an audience to see the new ruler in reason of a huge trade deal.

"Mr. Lawrence, I must warn you that anymore of insisting to bribe would force us to detain you."

"Sire, we might have a problem. The Golden Leaf Merchant Group is a huge group, and to deny this deal would have repercussions on the relation of many cities not only here." The fat merchant Lawrence was angry as he was not approved of his bribe.

"Guards. Detain this man. For the crime of bribery and threatening" In the throne, A young man around 30 years of age not familiar to Lawrence even if he was famous and have many network the new monarch in front of him was not familiar at all and underestimated him.

"What? What are you doing, I am one of the core officials of Golden Leaf, are you prepared of the implications of detaining me?" Lawrence shouted as he was dragged by guards outside off the throne room.

After the commotion ended, the new monarch sighed in his throne.

One of the largest Cities in Chiscast Empire, It was where Golden Leaf Merchant Group has first established and also home to their main company. A week after Mr. Lawrence has been detained, Golden Leaf Merchant Group have gathered to talk about the issue.

"President, this is not acceptable, after many years that we traded with them they have the guts to capture one of our officials and demand such huge ransom with these very minor violations?" One member slammed the table with his anger.

"President, we should respond with sanctions on trade with that they will learn a lesson, that without us they will loose supply of many products specially steel. Though we might loose some income, it will teach them a lesson."

"Yes, I agree, they will soon begged for us to trade in no time. We must teach them a lesson." The president was around 60 years of age with white hair and mustache, normal built with a fair complexion. He was a typical rich man with decent clothes.

The meeting was full of shouting and sentiment and soon they have decided to send a letter of sanction to all cities. In the sanction, they cut the product volume of trade and even increased the prices to double and even some products have ten times the price.

Inside an MKD suit, Lawrence was working in the construction when he was tipped by a passerby of the news of the sanction.

"Everyone settle down, it was 4 months ago that we all agreed of the sanctions, but instead it seems to not affect them, their economy might be backed by their kingdom, they may have deep pockets, the question now is do we have to continue with the sanctions or forfeit Mr. Lawrence in favor of cooperation with them."

"President, our rival Diamond Merchant Group has gained so much from the new system they have, while we are continuously loosing money from this sanctions. In fact, all the cities have not purchased a single grain from us."

"President, we have been mistaken, we must send an apology and discuss trade again if not we might suffer, though we can still persevere for as long as a year with this sanction, we would loose a lot."

"Alright, retract our sanctions and begin trade with them, we must make efforts to gain what we have lost."

The letter of apology have been sent, but bad news was returned. Urza kingdom demanded that transactions can only resume if the ransom has been paid in full, and because the first agreement said that ransom will double every week that passed. Resulting from a thousand gold, to around 65 million gold.

"Impossible, this is simply a joke. How come they would push with this. Have you send the apology letter?" The president and the other were lumped into their chairs as they received the news.

"Yes sire I have sent it many time, even going their myself to give the letter personally." After hearing the news, they lost their spirits and hope.

"We should make an appeal to King Urza Himself, maybe he will listen to us."

"No it would be too late, this is a disaster. The ransom payment is the equivalent of our entire company, in short we will give up everything just for us to continue the company that would not be ours anymore."

"That is a good idea, what if we give the companies rights to them, if we can find an agreement that will benefit them, like giving a portion of our income we might be able to save this disaster. We will loose a bit in the short time but we can return the trade deal and slowly recover from our losses." The president explained.

"That is perfect, I will call Lord Vander for this, we might have to pay a huge some but, we must send the letter in the fastest way, and a ranked practitioner can only do that."
