"Why are we not advancing?" Barabas who was looking at the battle field confused as it has gone into a stalemate.

"Sire, our siege weapons could not penetrate the shield, our men at the front is trapped between the enemy and our forces. We should adjust the left and right flank." Winfred Whitneye advised.

"No need, clear the center and I will personally penetrate their defense. Now." Barabas commanded and a horn was blown loud.

His men equipped with the finest armors and weapons riding sand rhinos advance into the center, as Barabas team advance the center slowly opened like a zipper.

"General Cyril, confront Barabas troops at the center." Zeeq commanded as he saw the king finally made his move.

General Cyril in MKDS I General Version, A version of MKDS that is for use of officers is upgraded to match the harsh mana they have. It can sustain mana up to Golden Final stages. It also has other capabilities that can match Gold rank users. One of Golden rank final stages abilities is transform their own body into elements that they are adept of. Cyril is adept in water element which is advantageous to Barabas Fire element.

Cyril inside the Suit suddenly erupted in mana and transformed his body into water which in turn the armor adapted and transform also in synchrony with Cyril. Barabas on the other side also transformed into a fire turning himself into a demon like being.

Barabas leaped from his rhino and initiated the first attack towards Cyril. A loud explosion echoed after Cyril blocked the attack with an ice shield. Barabas who was a foot taller than Cyril was like a fire demon fighting an Ice guardian. Though Cyril's element is advantageous, Barabas is much stronger in terms of mana purity.

Fire melts metal

Metal penetrates wood (chopping, sawing, drilling, nailing, screwing).

Wood separates earth (tree roots breaking up soil/rock).

Earth absorbs water.

Water quenches fire.

Barabas constant attack made Cyril in a defensive position. But his element is weaker so it was on a stalemate. Barabas was reckless but powerful, it was just unfortunate that Cyril was calm and defensive.

"Damn you, cowardly tactics." Barabas shouted as he continuously attacked. But Cyril did not say a word and continued on defense.

The battle continued with both of them almost depleting their mana, but a new progress occurred that Barabas did not notice. His army is dwindling by the second and from the minute it started. His army was already halved.

"URZA URZA URZA..." The chanting halted Barabas on his continuous attacks. It's because the army who saw that they have no chance at all in penetrating gradually halted the attack.

"Sire, we must retreat for now and regroup." Winfred Whitneye advised as he saw an opportunity to communicate with his King who was busy in his battle.

Barabas observe around and saw the devastation. "Sound the retreat"

Barabas and his men retreated and reorganized, while the wounded was carried inn inside the mana shield wall by the logistics and medic team.

"URZA URZA URZA URZA..." The chanting continued by Zion's army while the defeated Barabas retreated.

Meanwhile Leofwine Tollere Army also retreated, the earliest inflicting the least casualties and Injury. But General Armaine was totally defeated and the remaining soldiers routed. General Selvian on the other hand escaped and sent messages to all remaining generals and his king a message of defeat.

Inside the King's Tent

"What, Armaine is defeated and captured? How can this be..Recall all forces and gather here at Baltik. We will consolidate all forces and attack here. Is there any message of what happened to the wounded men who were captured?"

"We have no news as of now, including our casualties, they all captured the injured and even some who retreated. Less than half of our men are left with around 10 percent wounded."

Atlantis City

"Zeeq, prepare the forces to engage the remaining enemies. We attack this night with all forces and left the MKDs as defense, leave some angels also incase there are aerial attacks." Zion did not expect the enemy to retreat but because of this, Zion has thought of another idea. He calculated all possibilities of his plan and concluded that the risk is very little to pass the opportunity.

"Affirmative Sire." Zeeq then commanded all general to move out and consolidate to Baltik City leaving the MK Dullahans they just recently created from the captured soldiers to defend the city.

Inside King Barabas Tent

"Sire, Urza army have gathered not far from here poised to attack" Reported a soldier inside the tent where the king, the generals, and other officers where in a meeting of how they would attack the city.

"Ahahahaha, have their heads gone bloated from a single victory? They think that if they won a battle they would default win the war?" Barabas said smiling as if he found an opportunity.

"Sire this could be our opportunity to counter attack, our men are veterans in wide field combat, and we can use our number advantage in this open wide field." General Armaine suggested.

"General Armaine is right, in addition, our cavalry is adept in fighting in the sand. We can surround them easily and crush them." General Selvian who was a veteran on taming beast is the head of tamers association as his main unit is also tamed by the Royal Tamer association of Banawe which tame not only aerial beast but also land units for the cavalry, logistics and other uses.

"Sire I mean no disrespect, but this is a bit suspicious. I have a feeling that this is a trap." Leofwine Tollere from the start have been the most cautious, his instincts in the battle has save him many times.

"It does not matter, the last battle, they layed no traps, even now there is no indication that they would use such tactics. This is simply a show of force, they are underestimating us. The question is when will they attack? or do we initiate them at night?" Barabas stood by his own pride.

"It would probably be at the break of dawn, their unfamiliarity fighting in the sand and the addition of the darkness would critically affect them. Our men are also just recently rested, if we choose to attack now, we still need to prepare at least an hour." General Armaine said.

"Sire, We should wait till dawn, but we should at least alert the men and have them ready for a night attack, in that way we would surprise them if they chose to attack this night." Leofwine Tollere suggested.
