Side Story: Kara Linlock [2 in 1]

***Back on Earth at the hotel in California****

Around the same time Aeris and Marcus were talking, in the lobby on the base floor:

At the receptionist desk there was a beautiful round face 22 year old female receptionist called Kara Kinlock who had. She had honey brown eyes and hair that went down to her shoulders. She was wearing a light brown professional suit with a mini skirt was on the phone hearing complaint about a customer in the upper floor. She was very annoyed as shown on her face about the calls, so she call up and there was no answer.

Kara called again, but no answer so she was about to ask someone to go up and checked, but in the end, everyone was busy so she had to go. She left the desk and went to the elevator and road it up to the 11th floor where Marcus room was at. She arrived at the door and knock on it and no one answered.

She knocks again on Marcus's hotel room and this time said: "Hello, Mr. Marcus can you please open up as there have been complaints about you causing disturbances in the area." After a few seconds, she still heard no one and decided to call her manager which he says go in and look. Hearing the useless answer from her manager, Kara sighed and opened the door with her master key.

She looked around and saw Marcus luggage and the bed. She went towards the bed and saw it was still warm when she touches it. Kara look and saw the bathroom door, so she went and knocked on it since she had a feeling that the customer may be in there as no one saw him leave. While she was knocking her heart was racing as if telling her something bad was about to happen, however, she just put that feeling in the back of her mind as she knocks again and started speaking "Mr. Marcus are you there if you are please answer."

Hearing no answer she took a deep breath before sliding open the door slowly and walked in. As she walked into the bathroom she arrived at the first section with the sink, toilet, and shower (the shower was really big as it could probably fit 5 people in without any problems and was made of clear glass easy to see through) and she saw that it was empty and has not been used.

Seeing this Kara walked towards the next section that that had a sliding door separating the two sections. She opens the door and walked it as it was quite foggy and hard to see. Kara knows that this bathtub was in the middle so she walked straight ahead and arrive in front of the 4 ft deep purple and gold colored bathtub that looked like a Jacuzzi.

Kara look at the bathtub ad saw a form in the bathtub as the fog blocking her view. She reached out her hand and touch Marcus's former body and shaking him while asking "Mr. Marcus" with a scared tone. When she shook him it was as if the fog disappeared and she saw his dead body with a giant hole in the middle with blood dying the bath water red. Kara screamed in horror as she tripped and fell on her back while slowly trying to crawl backward.

The scream cause people to be startled as they decided to call the police and went outside to look, while this was happening Kara was still on the ground crawling backward and because she was panic when she was crawling she went the wrong direction and ended up somehow near the portal that Aeris had opened. The portal was smaller than before as the Earth itself was forcefully stabilizing the spatial distortion causing the portal to shrink minute by minute. The portal was still big enough to fit a 12-year-old child and when Kara arrived and accidentally touch it, it caused a mutation causing it to open up it sucking her through leaving only a couple of bloodstains, her phone, and clothes.

As Kara was sucked into the portal she was in agonizing pain as if someone was taking a bunch of knives and rocks using them to slash/ beat her millions times as her body was getting mutated by the second from the space (her body is not exploding or eye-popping out as the portal connects to regas with it forming a transparent barrier about twice the average human size protecting the person, however, the person still needs a strong body to handle the teleportation). She was suffocating slowly as the oxygen was thin to almost nothing causing her to cry and beg for death.

As Kara was dying slowly a white light appeared from nowhere and hit her causing all the pain to go away. She was surprised and wondered what was wrong with she heard a *ding* sound in her head causing her to be more confused as another sound appeared in her head.

[System merging with the host soul (female voice)]

[Welcome, Host, Kara Unlock, to the Talent Creation System]

Hearing all of this Kara was startled and wondered what was the voice inside her head which the system replied.

[Host, I am the Talent Creation System number 9 system in the System Containment Center and as my name states I have the function to give people talents, upgrade their talent, and many other things as you can find out about it later. I have merged with your soul and seen your memories as such I will explain what is happening to you.

The man you called Marcus was killed as his soul was removed by a powerful entity using the most barbaric method and brought to a different universe. The entity that created the portal did not close it and you stumbled upon it accidentally when crawling backward in which I found you and merged with you as my host.]

"Wait.. wait, wait for a system like the one that operates machines and merged with my soul, and why was the man killed and where are we now and are heading, why me...? Kara kept on asking questions in a single breathe before the system stopped her and explained.

[Host for convenience sake let's just go with me being a system like machines as you can find more about it later. As for why the man was killed and his soul stolen I do not know why unless his soul is special or reincarnated here while his previous life was somewhere else causing this person to find him for revenge or to grab his soul back, but that does not matter, anyway as it has nothing to do with the host anymore.

I was wondering around as my former host died in the outside cosmos a few years back and I could not find anyone I had a liking for until I saw you passing by. I merged with you saving you prevented your body damaged from even further as the main reason I merged with you is that your soul is a special soul that is both an enhanced and specialized soul as it is 3 times bigger than average souls and has a great ability for synchronizing. Do not ask about soul for now as I will tell you on are trip.

As you see the portal created by the expert will deliver us to the same universe as the expert took the boy's soul to, but we will probably end up in a completely different location from them so no need to worry as you will probably only meet them after a few years.]

Hearing the system Kara sighed and ask "I am forced to leave my home and never return because of that person, I will find and ki..]

[Host, first that is not possible as that is probably at or.. you do not know cultivation ranks so telling you is useless. I will explain a simply as possible around a few hundreds years back me along with a several other systems left our universe after my host and about 3 others system host managed to break a universe barrier, so you know a universe barrier is formed around a universe preventing things from entering and exciting only at a certain level can a person bypass this barrier and the more older, powerful, and etc the universe is the more powerful the barrier like your planet has the weakest barrier possible since it is a mortal world.

Back to the main subject my host reach a powerful level that he can raise is head high in many universes, but the person who did this is even more powerful than him as for how powerful I do not know. I am telling host this so that you can understand that even with my help I can not help you defeat that person as you will probably need years by yourself to as I can only help you reach a certain level as our System Containment Center only have some information on higher being and higher items.

I am becoming host to focus on getting powerful quick so you can break the universe barrier and go back to your universe as it will be easier.]

Kara clench her teeth and said "fine" as she asks about her body and the universe and how to break the universe walls.

[Host I have no idea where we are going, but it would seem you have bad luck as the tunnel we are in connects to the universe with some of that universe's power flowing through here helping me determine that this is a powerful and ancient universe so breaking the barrier is going to be hard. As for how long it will take to get there is 14 years as to make sure host body does not get destroyed in the process and as for you disfigured current body I will remodel your body so that you can reach the peak of that universe with no problem as the free gift for becoming my new host. It will take some time to get there and heal your body so I will imprint information on soul and some cultivation info from the system store so you will get an idea what it will be like.]

"Wait I thought you said that you do not know how this universe will be and won't I be old when we get there?"

[Host in a space tunnel people body cells tend to stagnate that is why it is natural healing that certain bodies have will not heal in this and age will not progress. Cultivation names may be different and the way to cultivate, but the information can still help you get some understandings as we the information in the store comes from several universes and you can compare them to enhance your knowledge making it easier so when we get there. This is between Fateful Encounter part 3 and 4

I release this today since it would fit better releasing it today then next week, but this will count for next week chapters.

Spoiler a little I guess

If you read the last one Delia was supposed to have the Talent Creation System, but now I changed it so she will new system called Remodeling System as it will work similar to the Talent Creation System except a bit different.

This will not be the only system besides Marcus as you seen in my previous.

Guaranteed 1 chapter per week, but will try to do 7 per week. A Chapter will usually have 500 to about 1500 word count anymore will start to go to 2 in 1, 3 in 1, and higher if I do not divide the chapter.

This is a mass release instead spreading throughout the week since I wanted did not want to release each one across the week since they are parts. All chapters that are divided into parts will be release together most of the time, but will count towards next week chapter count if over 7.
