Chapter 42: Clashing Swords

After going over the documents that Soren gave her, the headmaster, or headmistress of Kuoh Academy approved both Soren and Negi's transfers, and gave them some loose fitting boys uniforms for the meantime, while their sizes would be measured for custom fit uniforms they would receive at a later date.

Soren and Negi didn't say anything prompting the headmistress to finish off her introduction by giving them their schedules, and sending them to class. Negi was different, as he never really got to go to school, as he was alway in the hospital due to his disease, and after reincarnating, he did nothing but fight and grow stronger, so once again, school was not something he had to attend, so this was indeed the first time experiencing the path in life known as schooling, while Soren had already gone through this twice before, and this would be his third time going through school. Soren and Negi went to their classes, and surprisingly, Negi and Soren were split up, and had different classes, and Soren noticed that Negi was placed in some random class, while he was placed in the class full of all the fun and interesting characters from the main storyline, and upon his arrival, he noticed that Issei was staring off into the distance, while Kiba was taking quite the interest in his studies, while everyone else was doing their own thing.

Soren noticed that the teacher introduced him as they or them, rather than he or him, and he based it off of his appearance, as he could pass as a girl, even with no boobs. Soren then came up to the front as he stood before everyone wearing the boys uniform, and catching the sight of everyone in the class, while some had some weird stares, while others seemed to be lost in a sense of love struck awe. Soren then sat down and noticed that Issei was looking at him in confusion, and after looking over at him, Soren then spoke with a bit of an annoyed tone.

Soren looked over to Kiba, as he took in his appearance in a second. Kiba was a boy with blonde hair and gray eyes, while under his left eye, there was a small mole. He wore the Kuoh Academy's boys uniform, making him match many of the boys in attire, while only a few wore the blazer over different clothes, like Issei.

[Ah… Kiba, was it?... Yes, I like fighting, and as for what I practice, I practice lots of martial arts, like the sword, as well as the staff, and many mixed martial arts… Why do you ask?]: soren

Soren could already tell that Kiba wanted to fight him, and depending on Soren's skills, he would inform Rias about Soren, and she would then make the offer to become a Devil, which Soren would ultimately decline, as he was here for his own set of Evil Pieces, along with the laws of Life and Death, and he didn't want to join someone else's peerage.

Soren agreed to practice with Kiba, and the two of them went out to the practice field where Soren watched Kiba go over to the rack and pull out two bamboo swords, known as Shinai, before throwing one of them over to Soren.

Soren then threw the Shinai back to Kiba, making him confused, before Soren looked around and found a simple twig before picking it up and swinging it a few times.

Kiba watched Soren's antics and felt a bit insulted before he spoke.

[You do know that is just a stick, right?... It will break the second I hit it with this Shinai]: kiba

Soren thought this after speaking some bullshit wisdom line that could come from a chinese cultivation novel, making Kiba a bit surprised, as he felt that Soren might be more interesting than he first thought.

[So… Before we fight… I would like to ask that you keep our spar between us… I'd rather not have Rias Gremory annoying me]: soren

Upon saying that, Kiba tensed up as he saw Soren's smile, and a sense of fear began creeping up his spine as a bit of sweat began forming down his back, and with a bit of an aggressive tone, Kiba spoke.

[Who are you!... What do you know of my connection to Rias?]: kiba

[Well a Devil serves his master, no?... Don't fret… I'm not here to cause harm to you or your master and her peerage… I simply came here to make friends… So… Do you still want to fight with that shitty piece of wood?... Kiba began to look around, and noticed that there was nobody in sight, and with a sigh, Kiba threw his Shinai to the side before calling upon his Sacred Gear, and took two demonic swords out from thin air, making Soren's simple smile turn a bit sadistic before he coated the stick in his hands in a strong layer of Haki, making the stick turn black.

'What was that?... How did the stick turn black?': kiba

Kiba was confused as to how the stick changed color, but he didn't think about it for too long, before he focused on fighting, as he then charged Soren with both his demonic swords, and slashed down as they both clashed with the simple stick, causing some sparks before Kiba's swords were destroyed.

[Tsk, tsk, tsk… What a shame… If only you knew the true power in which your Sacred Gear holds… This isn't going to be a fight… This is going to be a massacre]: soren

Soren then charged at Kiba making him dodge, before creating another two swords, but this time, with more energy, as he felt that his mana pool was sucked completely dry, as now he could only rely on his skill in the sword. Kiba then blocked a single swing from Soren's stick, and Soren held back as he sensed that Kiba put all his mana into these swords, and he didn't want to break the swords. When Kiba's demonic energy began to flare up, the devils on campus felt the sudden flare, and quickly took off to see who was fighting, and upon reaching the destination, they saw Soren fighting with Kiba, or more specifically, Soren was bullying Kiba, while Kiba did his best to block, but Soren just put enough force in his attacks to keep Kiba down, while he would use his legs to kick at Kiba and send him flying.

[Come on now!... How are you going to be a Knight for such a prestigious Devil family, and get beaten so easily?... I'm not even using a fraction of my strength, and this is all you amount to?]: soren

Soren was using not only physical attacks to break Kiba, but mental ones as well. His plan was to break Kiba so that Kiba would know his place, and warn his master not to bother him, but how could Soren know that Rias was already watching the fight with gritting teeth. After Soren was board, he decided to release his Haki from the stick, and threw it aside before he held up a single finger, and covered it in the same pitch black Haki that covered the stick, and with a wicked smile, he walked up to Kiba who was covered in bruises, and pointed his finger at Kiba before speaking.

[You are weak… Your master is weak… This entire Universe is weak… Nobody is my match, and I am here for only a few things, so don't expect my help for anything]: soren

Soren then tapped his finger on Kiba's blade before it shattered into bits and pieces before turning into black ash that drifted away, showing just how much Soren was holding back previously.

[Well, well, well… Look who we have here… The Heiress of the Gremory and the Sitri family has come to greet me?... You're cute Sona, but you're too weak to meet me for now… I'll come and grab that perky ass later, but for now.. I'll be taking my leave… Cya in school tomorrow]: soren

When Sona heard Soren's words, she couldn't help but blush, before she thought of just how dangerous Soren was, as he seemed to know them on a deeper scale, and they knew nothing about him.
