Quaggoth Soldiers

According to Aeon's plan, after getting the Goblin Cave, he would sit inside and cultivate the level 9 Life Blood Soldier Realm.

With his normal cultivation speed, it would have been not possible for Aeon to achieve that within a week; however, with the help of the Pendant of Protection's effect, Aeon's cultivation speed will be increased by three times.

With that kind of cultivation speed along with the Special Life Crystals he would be creating, Aeon could achieve the Level 9 Life Blood Soldier Realm cultivation in just two days.

However, thanks to the special requirement by the special life seed, Aeon's plans of completing the trial with ease have been changed and now, he has to devise another new plan while keeping his cultivation of Level 5 Life Blood Soldier Realm in mind.

'Since I can't increase my cultivation until I enter the Celestial World Tree, the only way for me to become stronger is through the equipment.'

It didn't take much time for Aeon to think of what he should be doing from then onwards.

Since each different equipment would give a different effect or if he was lucky, Aeon might even get equipment with a skill.

Of course, Aeon would be fully relying on the Grimoire of Life and Death for it.

Aeon selected one particular direction and started his journey of finding Goblins.

After carefully avoiding the monsters he was not confident in killing without relying on the Goblinfire Bolt for half a day, Aeon finally found his next target.

'Even though I didn't find any Goblins along the way, I can focus on killing another one of the weakest races.'

Looking at the group of one-foot spider-like creatures, Aeon was confident in killing them.

'The second monster race for my trial will be these Quaggoths.'

Aeon decided because just like Goblins, these Quaggoths are also one of the weakest monster races he could find.

Quaggoths are spider-like monsters whose entire bodies are covered with coarse bristles with black bodies.

They have six legs and four eyes with sharp pincers and an ability to release sticky silk from their mouths.

The higher the rank of the Quaggoth, the stronger and more resilient the sticky silk will be, making their prey harder to free themselves.

'However, the problem is, these monsters live in groups…not just any groups but in hundreds.'

Aeon was checking the surroundings to see whether there were any other Quaggoths in the distance.

'Also, my biggest concern is the Quaggoth Queen whose minimum strength would be at a Captain Realm. Once I pinpoint its location, I can clear all the hundreds of Quaggoths today.'

With Aeon current's strengths, even without the effects of the equipment he was wearing, he could easily kill dozens of Quaggoth Soldiers and with the effects of the equipment, even though it would be a little difficult, Aeon could also take down Quaggoth Sergeants.

Hence, Aeon felt it was a perfect opportunity to increase his trial progress by one-tenth and thus, he didn't want to waste this opportunity.

Of course, there is still danger in confronting those monsters and might even lose his life if he was not careful, Aeon knew he had to take at least that bit of risk to make some progress in his trial.

Even though Aeon looked confident, deep down, he was still afraid that things wouldn't go as he planned.

However, when he thought about the Goblin Set bonus, the [Chaos Veil], he felt the risk would be less and if things didn't go as he planned, then Aeon believed that he could at least escape.

With those thoughts in mind, Aeon looked at dozens of Quaggoth Soldiers and searched for the Quaggoth Queen.

'These Quaggoths live underground and the only reason they come out of the underground was to collect food for their Queen to eat while laying eggs.'

Just because the Quaggoth Soldiers are easy to kill, Aeon doesn't rush to kill them; instead, he checks everything…starting from their numbers to the queen which might come out the moment he takes action.

Soon, Aeon found a small hole in the distance which was enough for the Quggoth Soldiers to come out and go in.

'So, that's where their home is.'

Aeon nodded his head as he planned everything while thinking of as many variables as possible.

'For now, it's enough planning. Let's kill all these Quaggoth Soldiers and the moment the Quaggoth Queen appears, I will escape.'

After thinking a lot of things, Aeon finally concluded what he would be doing.

Thereafter, Aeon didn't hesitate any more and rushed at the group of Quaggoth Soldiers with two Goblinbone Daggers.

A young man and an ancient book flew at the group of Quaggoth Soldiers dragging their fully wrapped prey and before they could react, Aeon pierced his Goblinbone Daggers into their heads.

All Aeon needed was a single piercing to kill the Quaggoth Soldier and as for the Grimoire of Life and Death, it increased the progress of his trial.

Sensing the sudden arrival of an enemy, the remaining Quaggoth Soldiers became alerted and when they realized three of their brothers had fallen, they became furious and rushed at Aeon once.

"Grimoire, consume the corpse and give me some good boost in my stats."

Looking at the incoming corpses, Aeon was not worried; instead, he tightened the grip around his Goblinbone Daggers and ordered the Grimoire of Life and Death to consume the corpses of the Quaggoth Soldiers.
