Elara was lounging on the couch in their hotel suite, sipping her tea with a satisfied sigh. Across the room, Amara was scrolling through her messages when her phone buzzed, alerting her to a new one. She glanced down at the screen, her eyebrows shooting up as she opened the attachment.
"Felix just sent me a picture," Amara announced, a mischievous smile tugging at her lips.
"Oh?" Elara perked up, setting down her tea. "Of what?"
Amara turned the screen toward Elara, and they both burst out laughing. There was Eirik, sporting an impressively swollen cheek, his face twisted in a mix of shock and misery. His usually smug grin had been replaced by what could only be described as the world's most punchable pout.
"Look at him!" Amara chuckled, unable to contain her glee. "The man looks like he got run over by a very angry herd of elephants."
