Chapter 4~ The Boys

I stood there in shock and confusion as Derrick continued to explode at liza. Everyone else stayed quiet too. No one knew what to say and, honestly, I wasn't sure Derrick even realized what he said.

"Maybe you should stop him before he does something stupid." I jumped slightly when Jone whispered in my ear.

"Why? She deserves it. With how she treats Emy all the time." Ace whispered back

"Because None of us want him doing or saying something he will regret. At Least… any more than he already has." After I murmured that to them I walked up to him and rested my hand on his arm.

He immediately turned to yell at me but stopped short when he noticed who it was. Once he saw me though he went silent and tried to calm his breathing down.

"Hey. It's ok. Everything is ok Derrick. There's no need to yell anymore. Just settle down." I continued to look him In the eye's as I talked. That way he'd calm down faster and thankfully it worked although he was shaking pretty badly.

"You good alpha?" Ace asked and you could hear the worry in her voice.

"Yeah. I… I think." He put his hand, the one opposite of where my hand was sitting, up to his forehead slowly snapping out of the rampage he was in.

"Good cause that was freaky. Even to me. Can't imagine what everyone else must've been feeling." Jone shuddered as he talked.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what got a hold of me. I didn't mean to scare anyone." As Derrick talked his eye's landed on mine, the worry evident in them.

"It's fine Derrick. As long as you're alright it'll be ok." As I spoke I started to rub his arm in order to calm him down more. Then I noticed that Liza hadn't said anything this whole time.

I turned to ask if she was ok because even if I hated her, she was still part of the pack. But when I turned towards where she had been standing she was gone.

"Where did Liza go?" When I asked, Derrick growled quietly so I squeezed his arm gently to reassure him that it was ok.

"I think she took off as soon as Alpha looked away from her. She looked paler than a ghost when he was yelling at her." Jone shifted back and forth on his feet getting closer to Ace just in case Derrick decided to go off again.

"Ok, well why don't you two go check on her and make sure she's ok. I may not care for her but after this she shouldn't be alone." They both nodded and took off just as Tyler and Susan came up the stairs.

"Hey what's going on? Is everything ok?" Susan walked up to her brother and was going to rest her hand on his shoulder but he moved away from her and towards me.

"Hey and, to answer your question, no. Derrick freaked out on Liza. Now he's a bit shaken up so I'm trying to calm him down." She blinked and Tyler tilted his head.

"What…?" before he could finish his sentence Derrick growled again so I turned my attention back to him.

"Hey. What's wrong now? Why are you growling?" He shook his head like he was trying to shake something off. Then pulled away from me.

"I'm gonna go to my room and try to calm down. I'll see you guys later." I blinked in surprise as he pushed past me and headed to the room and, Just because the situation felt off, I looked at the collar on his neck.

It was a good thing I did because it was blue this time. Not red, or green, but blue. What the hell. No, More like who the hell.

"Guys, I'm gonna go make sure he's ok. I'm not convinced he should be alone right now." When I looked back both of them nodded and so I started to run after him.

I followed him down a couple of hallways. Past Derrick's room, past Jone and Ace's room, and all the way to my room.

"Hey! Wait up! Please! Blue!" I rushed towards him and thankfully he stopped and turned to look at me. When I got up to him I pointed at his neck.

"I knew it was really unlike Derrick to yell like that at her. You also sound and slightly look different from him so I checked. You're not Derrick And you're also not the one from the club because he was different too. He was also green." His hand went to his collar.

"Starting to tell us apart are you? Good, this way you'll know when it's us and when It's asshole." I rolled my eyes as he grinned at me.

"So what's your name? I know your color now but I would rather call you by your name and not always have to say Blue every time I want Your attention." He chuckled and his grin got bigger.

"So you do plan on being around us more Even though he told you to stay away?" I rolled my eyes and shrugged.

"Haven't decided yet. It all depends, I suppose." He frowned and tilted his head.

"On what?" He started shifting, obviously worried.

"On whether or not you're as dangerous as Derrick makes you out to be. I know his side about you and your dad but my mom taught me to always get both versions before I make a decision." He relaxed a bit and his grin came back.

"Well we're dangerous to most people but, I promise, we're not dangerous to you. Neither of us would ever even think about hurting you. We would rather die than let that happen." I rolled my eyes at him.

"So you are dangerous. Oh and are you gonna answer my question or am I just gonna have to call you blue from now on?"  He frowned.

"First, only to the people who are in our way and that, Hopefully, doesn't include you. Second, I have to give you some reason to meet up with us on Friday so I think I'll just keep that to myself." I laughed at him and that seemed to lift his mood.

"Fine but you have to make sure you also tell me how you got in here. Just in case I wanna get out without him knowing." He cocked an eyebrow at me.

"So ass hole likes to point out that he doesn't want you but keeps you basically locked up here unless he knows you're leaving. That's fucked." I sighed and nodded

"Yeah but I don't wanna start anything so I stay silent about it and push forward with a smile." I shrugged and he shook his head.

"Well, how about I show you instead. That way we get a bit more time together." I shifted and looked behind me then nodded.

"Ok, I don't think anyone will notice I'm gone." he frowned at me but started walking the way he'd been heading till I stopped him.

"That's horrible. You know that right." I shrugged. To me it, Sadly, had always been something I knew would eventually happen.

"Honestly I think they're just waiting for me to be able to leave at this point. I am only here because the consul ordered me to be. As soon as that order is done I'm gone."  He tensed up and stopped walking.

"You good?" I moved and stood next to him and rested my hand on his arm gently.

"Am I ok? No, I'm not ok. You just told me you were not only, basically, held captive but also leaving here once the consul gives you the ok! Not only am I losing my mate but she's also gonna have to sneak out just to see me and my brother! This is all fucked!" I blinked in shock and smiled slightly.

"Just because I'm leaving this pack house doesn't mean I'm leaving town. I do still have friends here that I'm not leaving. You can calm down."

"Is this why that guy is coming down? To take you away from us. Cause I'll kill him before I let that happen." I Frowned and grabbed his arm squeezing to get his attention.

"HEY! Listen to me. I am not going anywhere. So You are Not going to Kill Anyone. Got it? I'm not leaving the city." He watched me as what I said slowly sunk in. Once he realized what I said he started to calm down.

"You Promise? Because we're not like him. We actually want you and want to get to know you. We want to keep you and love you and care for you…" I cut him off before he could go into another rant

"I promise. I am not going anywhere. Well maybe a store here and there but not out of town." He let out a relieved sigh and then we heard  people walking down this way talking.

"It doesn't matter. What matters is that it wasn't me and now we need to find them." As soon as we heard Derrick's voice he grabbed my arm and pulled me down the hall with him.

I stayed quiet as we all but ran down the hall and into a part of the house that I had never been before. We went pretty deep into the house then he tugged me into a room that looked like it hadn't been touched in years.

"What are we doing here? How did you know about this part of the house? I didn't even know this even existed." He chuckled and shrugged.

"Believe it or not, love, but I used to live here. And unlike my brother I used to explore this place. I probably know more about this place than he ever could." I blinked and smacked my head which made him growl.

"Oh… Why did that never click in my head? You're his brother after all." I shook my head and sighed.

He rolled his eyes at me and pulled me over to the end of the room. Then he let go of my hand which made me have to hide a small whimper at the loss. He chuckled gently and then pushed against one of the walls as he slowly slid open and I blinked in surprise.

"Well I definitely need to explore this place more. Obviously." He grinned

"Definitely. Remember to keep an eye out for anything mysterious as you do." I cocked an eyebrow and he just chuckled and held his hand out towards me.

I immediately took his hand and followed him through the tunnel, even though it dipped downward, and took note of the turns we took. Right twice, Left once, Straight three times, and last left once. Then we were in front of a ladder. He let go and held his hand out.

"Ladies first." I rolled my eyes at him but walked over and started going up.

"If you just wanna look at my ass. You could've just asked. By the way, Where does this lead us to?" I asked as I climbed and he snickered.

"It will spit us out in the forest just outside of the pack's territory but far enough out that they won't catch us." he answered, completely dodging the first part of that.

"Sweet, so I can use this to get around the territory as well? Considering how many twists and turns this thing has it's hard to believe it wouldn't." He hummed.

"Well I haven't gone in every direction but for the most part yeah mainly it's on the territory but i'm also pretty sure it has some that come out on other peoples territory too so I'd prefer if you only used it to get to us."

"Well yeah I wasn't planning on using it to get around I was just saying." Then we hit the top of the ladder and I pushed against the Lid and slowly got it open. Then crawled out.

As I did I heard a gasp and thought we had got busted until I looked up and saw another guy who looked like Derrick for the most part. I grinned.

"Hey green, Sorry for the color thing your brother won't tell me your names." He blinked in surprise but ran over to help me out of the tunnel.

"I didn't know you were gonna bring her with." he smiled and pulled me into a hug.

"Yeah well I didn't know either until she followed me and asked if she could. It's still a very welcomed surprise though." Green nodded and grinned at us.

"Yeah it is. Ok, so, why won't you tell her our names?" I smirked and crossed my arms while turning towards blue.

"Yeah. Why won't you?" Blue rolled his eyes at me and poked my nose.

"You, little lady already know why but since my brother doesn't, It's because that way she'll still come to see us on friday. Anyway we should get going. Before one of the pack members finds us." Both green and I nodded and we took off into the forest. Both of them grabbed my hand as we did.

"If you promise to still come see us Friday then I'll tell you our names." I rolled my eyes at green and chuckled.

"Well I was planning on it but if I am just gonna keep getting bribed to come then I don't know about it." He grinned and shook his head.

"Well in that case. My name is Darius and Blue over there is Dante." He smiled as I grinned.

"Well it's nice to finally be introduced properly. My name is Mellissa and yes I will be coming to see you friday." Dante gave a small smile while Darius grinned like a cheshire cat.

"Awesome, I can't wait till Then. We get to know you more." I chuckled.

"What else could you possibly want to know? You asked me basically everything when you showed up at the club."

"Yeah but basically everything isn't exactly everything." I rolled my eyes at him and he snickered.

"Think you can still make it even with your friend coming over?" I could hear the hostility in his voice and I frowned.

"Yes I'm sure. What's with the hostility in that sentence?" He frowned and shrugged.

"What do you think it's about? It's another guy that you'll be alone with for who knows how long. Sorry if I'm not too thrilled about that." I frowned at him and pulled my hand away from him which made him wince but I  turned towards him.

"I understand why you'd be upset but you don't need to be. If you feel better with it I'll keep Ace with me when I'm around him for the most part but I am going to spend some time alone with him and nothing is gonna happen. I promise." He sighed and relaxed a little bit then grabbed my hand again quickly.

"Ok that works just don't rip your hand out of mine again ok. I'm not a fan of that." I rolled my eyes at him.

"Deal." After that they showed me how to get out and we hung out for a while.
