Chapter 3~The wolfs out of the bag

The days after that passed slowly. Mainly because I avoided Derrick while also obsessing over Friday. I knew I was going to go see them but the problem was that I wasn't sure about whether or not I could trust them. 

See if I were to go based solely on what Derrick said then the answer was no but I also had to factor in the fact that, just like Derrick, they were my mates. I also didn't know them therefore I couldn't decide for myself if they were trustworthy or not.

 So all week I went back and forth in my head with this and it was honestly starting to annoy me.

"Hey Mellissa! There you are! I've been looking for you all day." I turned to see Ace running down the hall towards me.

 She had a massive smile on her face which usually meant one of two things. Either something that we think is awesome is going to happen or it has already happened. The only thing I needed to know was which one it was.

    "Hey Ace, and sorry. I've honestly just been hiding from everyone recently. Well mostly just Derrick but still. Since I'm being honest I might as well add, my mood feels like it took a giant leap off of the eiffel tower recently so I just want to be alone. Only came out now for food and was gonna head back to my room." I sighed and her smile softened into a sad one as I stopped and turned towards her.

    "Well…. I have something for you that, I hope, might lift your mood back up to the top of the eiffel tower and keep you there for a while." She stopped right in front of me and started rocking back and forth on her feet. She was obviously excited for something.

    "Sadly, Ace, I don't think there's a whole lot that can do that right now. Although, I wouldn't be against you trying to help me feel better right now so shoot." Her massive smile returned once again and she instantly shot her hand out from behind her back and shoved it at me. In her hand was an envelope with my name on it. I only glanced at it so I didn't see the handwriting right away.

    "I'm almost one hundred percent sure that this could, maybe and hopefully, help a little bit. If it doesn't then you can take anything you want from my closet." I cocked my eyes in confusion and slowly took the envelope from her hands.

    "Why? What is it? What could make you so confident that you would risk losing an outfit that you begged for because I know for a fact you begged for almost everything in your closet because your parents suck." She shrugged and started to bounce a bit.

    " I don't know. Open it and find out. I promise you'll most likely love it." I rolled my eyes at her. She made no sense but I didn't bring that up. I just did as she said and opened it.

    "You know how much I hate anticipation Ace." I frowned as she shrugged, still holding her giant ass smile on her face and never faltering.

    "That would be because you always anticipate the worst. You really need to stop that by the way. It's why you can never have fun you know." I scoffed as I pulled the letter out of the envelope.

    "Fat chance of that happening! It's one of the main things that keeps me alive at this point. I mean obviously you and the whole pack are the major main reason but still. You also already know this because we've talked about this countless times." For some reason that Made her even happier and she started bouncing and clapping her hands happily.

    "That's also how I know this will cheer you up a bit, even if it's only a little bit. It might even help you feel a bit safer. I also know that since Derrick won't come near you it's been a struggle for you to feel safe and comfortable here so I think this will help a bit." I cocked my eyes again and she started waving and nodding at the paper in my hand.

    When I finally looked down at the paper and actually examined it I got a major surprise. I knew the handwriting that was on it and I knew it very well. I knew the writing better than I knew my own. Not to mention that the Nickname on it was only ever used by one person and there was only one person I would let call me that. The one person who had managed to make me feel safe even though I was a very long way from home and he had always called me Redtop because I always dyed my hair red.

    "Anthony!?" I jumped and squeaked in shock and looked up at Ace. She was grinning from ear to ear in pure excitement while I stood there. I was both shocked to the point where I couldn't move and excited to the point of wanting to squeal in excitement. Once I was finally able to make myself move I quickly and carefully opened the piece of paper in my hand.

    'Hey Redtop! Long time no talk! How have you been? I miss you soooo much kido. By the way, I'm gonna be headed your way soon. I know because, well…. Remember that favor the consul owed me? Well I cashed that in for info and found out where you're staying. I'll be there around friday or saturday so be ready piss off Mr. Asshole over there. I love and miss you kiddo and I Can't wait for saturday when we finally get to be together again! Your man, Anthony.'

I stood there for a while  bouncing up and down slightly and staring at the paper that I was currently holding. I was slowly trying to process what I had just read. Once I did I started jumping up and down and looked up at Ace. She had her arms crossed on her chest with the biggest smirk of victory I had ever seen. I then started to scream happily while still jumping up and down and she had to cover her ears.

"HE'S COMING OVER! YES! YAY! YAY! YAY! FUCKING YAY! FINALLY!" Ace started to laugh at me while still keeping her ears covered. I started to squeal just as three people came up the stairs which we both ignored.

"Woah. Hey! What's going on up here? Is everything ok?" I jumped in a half circle to turn around and look at them. It was Jone, Derrick, and Liza. Both Jone and Derrick looked worried but Lies a lot just rolled her eyes and looked at her nails.

"yeah. Everything is fine. She's just excited for once in her life." Ace walked up next to me and smiled.

 As the boys slowly settled down now that they knew we were all right I started jumping up and down. I was so excited that I even jumped into Derrick's arms and hugged him as tight as I could. I didn't think twice about it even though Liza was glaring and none was shocked still.

"Um…. OK. What are you so excited about? That way I know how to make you smile like this more often." He chuckled and wrapped his arms around me to hug me back. I bounced happily and grinned up at him.

"You get to meet my bestest guy friend in the whole wide world! His name is Anthony and he said he'll be here on saturday. I can't wait, it's gonna be so awesome." I squealed and backed up realizing that I probably shouldn't be hugging him like I was.

"oh yeah and who's that?" As Derrick asked, Jone crossed his arms and frowned. Ace laughed at him as he started to pout and I tilted my head in confusion at them. Thankfully Jone decided to say what he was thinking.

"I thought I was your best guy friend." I blinked in surprise and then smiled at him.

"Yes you are one of them but he's been there since I left home. He's the one that was helping me figure things out when I first found out about this world. Before the consul ordered me here. That's why he's so important to me. Sorry if I upset you." He smiled at me and that helped me to relax.

"Ok, that's fair. When did he say he was going to be here again? Saturday right?" I sighed in relief when He said that. Grateful that he wasn't mad at me. Once I had calmed down though my excitement skyrocketed back up.

"Yup! I don't know what time for sure but he said saturday for sure. I can't wait! I haven't seen him in so long and now he's gonna be staying here!" I bounced up and down again, my excitement seemed to spread to everyone. 

I noticed Derrick smiled but it didn't reach his eyes. Meaning he wasn't exactly happy. He was holding something back. I wasn't the only one who noticed either.

"What's wrong alpha? You look kind of upset." Ace tilted her head as she asked him and Jone bumped his shoulder into Derricks and I frowned in worry.

Look just because we didn't always get along didn't mean I didn't still care. He is still my mate and vise versa. We couldn't help but care about each other. It also meant we both got jealous as all hell. Even though he's with her.

"No, I'm not upset. Just a little worried. That's all." Jone blinked in confusion and Ace nodded but also had a confused look on her face.

"About what?" Jone, Ace, and I were honestly worried but then you have Liza, who made it obvious that she didn't care about anyone else but herself. Although she thought she needed to butt in at this point.

"Yeah, ALPHA, what are you so worried about??" When she asked, not only was she a condescending bitch, She crossed her arms and tilted her head with one of her fake eyebrows pulled upward.

"You, Liza, can be mad if you want. Jone, Ace, Mellissa, I'mworried because, even though i'm with Liza, Mellissa is my mate, I do still have feelings for her. This Is a guy we are talking about. Where as I'm beyond happy that she is happy and excited for once, I'm not thrilled that it's because of another guy."

Derrick frowned and Jone rolled his eyes. meanwhile Ace bumped her shoulder into mine. When I on purposely ignored her she elbowed me.

"EXCUSE ME!" Liza exclaimed. She was obviously pissed but Derrick didn't seem to care. He watched me, waiting for a reply. Meanwhile I stood there like an idiot and blushed.

"You need to know that, Even though we act really close and some people may mistake us as a couple, He is and always will be very gay. So Honestly, you have nothing to worry about. If anything I should worry about him coming onto you." He blinked in shock but also relaxed.

"Wait really? Oh ok. Thank the goddess." I laughed and he sighed in relief. 

"Yeah, although, since I tell him everything he does know about how everything has been going here. Meaning you're really low on his tolerance list. So if I were you I would try not to piss him off. Please." He sighed and nodded. Then Liza decided to start going off.

"Why does it matter anyway? You're with me not her! I don't care if she is your mate. YOU'RE MINE! NOT HERS!" he closed his eyes obviously pissed. Then held a finger up to us telling us to wait a second. Then he turned to her and growled.

"Listen and listen closely. I may be with you, but you DO NOT own me. Nor will you ever. I am NOT yours. I am your alpha. If anyone owns someone then I own you. She is my mate. So if anyone owns my it's her. That would mean I am hers. NOT YOURS! I LOVE HER NOT YOU!" everyone backed away from him in fear and shock. everyone but me.
