Aves had a badly swollen nose when I met him in the morning. He didn’t care to explain and I didn’t ask… yet… but I was pretty sure he hadn’t fallen on his face or anything. And Nova’s hurt knuckles looked very suspicious to me.
/"Did she punch you?/" I whispered as I leaned closer to him while we were eating breakfast.
/"Who?/" Aves asked like he had no idea what I was talking about, but he looked pretty annoyed.
/"Nova./" I said. Maybe I used a louder voice than it was necessary, because Nova raised her head and glared at me then went back to her pizza.
