Wizard and Informant

I saw Skyler nod. 

"Are you still in the tower?" Skyler asked.

"Ya."

"Where is Edward?" 

I turn to see Edward doing something in the kitchen that suddenly appeared besides his room. 

"Ed what are you doing?" I asked him because seeing a zero level wizard in a pink strawberry apron cooking who knows what is just weird.

"Hmm," He turned and I saw him mixing something in a bowl "oh I am making cookies. Kaan seemed to like this one." 

I can't say I was surprised as I have seen him do weird stuff before but this was just something that I can't get used to.

"Looking at your reaction, it's something weird right?"

I sigh and answer "ya lets just leave him." 

"Kaan will definitely arrange something regarding the war." Skyler got directly to the point. 

"But Sky there is the thing that he doesn't know." 

"There is?"

I smirk and say, "A tiger cannot hunt if the prey knows he is there." 

Skyler's eyes widened and she said in a concerning voice, "You don't propose we tell the king! Do you?" 

"Not exactly but we can slow him down."

"But that was not your plan before." her face turned to confusion.

"Well since all the members will definitely obey his command even if we don't want them too." I smell the aroma of cookies as it fills my lungs, I ignore and continue, "Why don't we tell everyone who has the possibility of being visited that Kaan is acting as a fake envoy and to not listen to him." I say nonchalantly.

"Well even though it is a low blow, it can slow him down." Skyler said in thought.

"Well, then I leave it up to yo-" Suddenly a cookie entered my mouth, almost choking me. I bid down on it and tried my best to chew and swallow it. After a struggle I managed to make the cookie go down my throat. 

I coughed for sometime and with watery eyes I looked at Edward with anger and annoyance. I rubbed my chest area to help me feel better. 

"So how was it?" Ed asked excitedly.

"Jasper, are you ok?" Skyler's voice through the contact ball showed concern. 

After some calming down I said to Edward in a sarcastic tone "I couldn't taste it because of it being forced in my mouth."

Edward raised an eyebrow and handed me another cookie but this time in my hand. I took it and tasted it.

"Sooo?"

The cookie was crunchy and had a lot of chocolate chips but there was a hint of mint in it. I nodded in approval and said "It's good."

Edward showed a bright smile and said "Thanks." and he toddle away. 

I turned back to Skyler where she giggled and asked "Are you ok?"

I exhaled and nodded since I was still eating the cookie. 

"Jasper, you should head back to Ravial."

I nodded and then said "then I will leave the task of contacting our allies to you. Bye."

With that the call ended. I turned to Edward and saw him placing the cookies nicely in a box.

"Edward." I called out to him.

"hmm?" He asked without turning.

"Can you send me to the hero's manor."

"Sure." Edward turned and walked to me. He handed me the box and said "this is for you, Herrick and Ivey."

Before I could nod or answer he pushed me with one hand and I fell through a teleportation portal arriving instantly in my room.

'Hey Ed the baking is done.'

'Ok Ward.' 

I removed the baked cookies from the furnace and placed them on the counter letting them cool.

"That smells good." I hear a familiar sound from the door.

I turned around and ran towards Leia. She opened her arms and I hugged her and lifted her in the air. 

"I am also happy to see you." She hugged me back and kissed my forehead. I gently place her down and say "want a cookie?"

She smiled and nodded. I maneuvered her on the couch and placed a plate of the second batch of cookies. She took one and bit into it as I removed my apron and sat down beside her. 

"Hmm, they are good."

"Thanks." I lay my head on her shoulder though I had to slide a little down on the couch for it. 

"Ed, can you call Ward." She said in a small voice probably knowing I hate when someone asked for Ward when I clearly wanted to be with them. I sign and talk to Ward.

'Hey she is asking for you.'

'I know, I will not take long. Don't worry.'

'Hmmm...' I reply in annoyance. 

"What would you like to talk about?" I answered.

"The Nightflags have discovered something weird in the forgotten Island and I will be heading to Alvala to get the information but before that I will be heading to the great coral reef." She said.

"Why the reef?" I asked even though I had a hint as to why.

"Meeting with the lord."

I just nod. 

"Hey so..how should I say it..umm..."

Her hands were fidgeting on her lap, so to calm them down I placed my hands on her, comforting her. She sighed and showed her stress on her show face.

"Ward something really bad will be happening to the world and I think this time the lord will be in the center of it."

I smiled wryly and said in thought "an eye of the storm as always huh..."

"But..this time we will really have to stay alert." she said in a tense voice holding a lot of information in her mind. She can unburden the information on me but she hates doing it more than anyone. She doesn't show it but she will carry a lot more on her shoulders then she has to. So I always try to be by her side when she needs it.

"Don't worry we all are strong."

She nodded and laid her head on my head and I switched with Ed and we continued to stay like this till it was time for Leia to go.
