Underground (III)

Leia led me to the only table in the room. She sat down in her chair as I sat opposite to her. She got up again and asked "Tea? Alcohol? Wine?" Three options were kept in front of me.

"Wine." She smirked and pulled a book out and there were bottles hidden behind it.

'If I try I can even pull out a weapon behind from the books.'

She set the bottle on the table and cleared the table in one fell swoop. Then she went back and pulled another book out and emerged from there where glasses. She placed the glasses on the table and uncocked the wine bottle. She very skillfully poured the wine after all she was the owner of the bar. After her little show she took a glass and placed herself back on the chair. 

"You know that not for staring. You have to get it back together as the king, this look doesn't feel very appeasing. We are your allies. We have seen you in your worst and best so we know you. Just get yourself back and do what you have to do. After all, uniting the whole three continents and islands is not an easy task."

My eyes widened. I sigh and show a sad smile.

'yup get.it.back.together.'

I look up again and take the wine glass. I smirk and say "thank you Leia. I think I am back to myself."

She just nodded but from her smile I can tell that she was genuinely happy. 

We just smile and calmly drink our wine.

After we finished we set the glasses on the table and Leia looked at me. In her eyes I know that she had a lot to say but it was hard for her. She hesitated but words finally left her mouth "My lord please don't lie ok."

I looked at her in confusion but nodded anyway.

"Does your plan have anything to do with hurting the group you included?"

I raised my eyebrows in alarm and said "No plan of mine will ever hurt our allies. Whoever gave you that information is definitely lying."

She just looked at me in an emotion that I hardly understood. But then she smiled and went back to normal.

"So what can I help you with?"

"I need you to go to the Dwarf hideout After 3 weeks day time and get something that I will need later in the plan."

"Is it the Sacrifice daggers?"

I smile and say "Truly deserving of the best informant title."

"Please I am not deserving of this honor and praise."

"So where are you headed after that?"

"Magic tower..."

"Ohh i wouldn't go there if i were you"

"..."

"But i am not you so i can go right"

"Hahah sure...but Seriously Edward is bad news after your being dead news"

"Yup and that's exactly why I have to go to that emotionally unstable Archmage."

"..."

"My lord you are not as evil as everyone or might I say yourself think."

This is the second time she surprised me with her words. 

'What has gotten into her? Why is she saying stuff like this? Wait...does she know and is trying to convince me to save my life. No no, let's calm down and think of the worst possible thing and be prepared for stuff to go wrong.'

I just smile and say "I am much worse than you think."

This time it was her gray eyes that opened wide. She opened and closed her mouth several times. She pushed her lips together and then sighed. 

'Wish I had a mind reading to figure out what is going on in her head.'

I struck the iron when it was hot and asked "Why are you saying stuff like that...It's like you think I am going to die this next second."

"But what-what if you really die. You know how much I hate to see people dying. It still haunts me. The war...the dead bodies...it was hell." She continued keeping her head down "I...just...can't..." The last few words were a mixture of nothingness and murmurs.

"Hate to break it to you but I am pretty much alive and will stay that way for a long time. So what you think will not happen at any cost." 

She finally looked up and her eyes changed from a distant sad past to a hopeful present. 

"Promise me you wont die without telling us."

"sure."

"You have to absolutely truly and surely tell us if you want to die so we can stop you."

'Now that was wired but whatever I guess.'

"sure sure."

She got it and pulled another book. A passage opened up and I could see a room with just a single window and bed. It was probably a room for the guest who wanted to rest or on the other hand a room for an injured friend.

'What with her habit of cutting a conversation off I am tired of it huuu'

"My lord if you may please come in here. There is something you need to see."

I get up and walk to her. I leaned into her ears "try better next time" her eyes widened and I could hear her breathing turn fast.

I go into the room and open the window.

"By the way did Jas tell you all the things?"

She still shocked looked at me and shook her head "I was the one who found it out and told Jasper." 

"Isn't that surprising. But dont worry after all we have a promise now. Take care Leia." 

Just then the entrance to the secret room opened and Jasper came rushing in. I just look at both of them and jump down the window but before I do I mouthed something to Leia.

"The great coral reef come there."

"KAAN!!" Jasper shouted as I watched him by the window trying to jump after me. But Leia holded Jasper's arms and made time for me to escape. And I ran away again.
