Detective Tom Marks soon has to start bending to their rules to accommodate the criminals that he swears to put behind bars to keep his job. After an encounter with the local district attorney, Madison McKenna, he does not feel so alone anymore in his quest to uphold the law and put criminals behind bars, keeping them there for as long as they possibly can. Together they seem to be able to face anything. But Detective Marks is soon faced with a new type of evil, something he has never dealt with before, his very own demons that lead him down a path of no return. Will Madison be able to bring him back? Will performing his duties cost him everything, will he survive. Will he find love in it all?
