Chapter 13

We eventually caught up to Kim Yu-Won, after I endured Hargaan looking like he was dying to ask me to fight him. Yu-Won was standing in front of a large door that depicted every monster battling it out on Barragánda. It fascinated me, I mean it was just a couple minutes ago when the monsters depicted faced me and Yu-Won with a united front with no qualms. Yu-Won looked at me.

"Ready to fight?" He asked.

"Let's go in." I responded, and in response to my response, Yu-Won immediately opened the boss door. Prompting the others I brought with me to be confused.

"No break? You guys must be exhausted." Tawata asked and commented.

"I'm perfect and that guy doesn't tire easily so I bet he's good." I respond

As I was making my way over to the door the boss' cry resounded. It was a cry that sent shivers up even Hargaan's spine, a bone-chilling cry. Yu-Won was once again quick in his steps. The door had opened just enough for one person to get through, so he started walking inside the room, I followed. Hargaan couldn't continue hesitating, so he looked back at his group.

"Let's go." Hargaan said

Unlike the rest of the cave where there were torches lining the wall, the inside of the door was entirely dark. Hargaan gathered electricity in his hands to create some light. The inside of the room was a long cave, and towards the center, the ceiling got higher, forming a circular dome. At the center of the dome was a horrifying being made from different body parts of Orc, Goblin, Ogre, and more. The monster was over 10m tall. I heard it cry again. Everyone except for me, Hargaan and Yu-Won stepped back from the monster.

{DEFEAT THE BOSS – THE 'SEALED CHIMERA.'}

{Once the objective is achieved, the Tutorial will be finalized.}

Those were pretty simple messages, but there were more messages waiting for them in boss room No.3.

{1 person is able to break the Chimera's seal and make it their familiar.}

{If you break the sealing crystal, the time limit will end, and you will be able to pass the Tutorial regardless of the requirements.}

{The Chimera's master will earn additional CP respective to the participants they kill.}

This got me to look at the cell that the Chimera was in more closely, I found a dark red crystal that seemed to be the seal the system was talking about. Without talking with Yu-Won I knew he needed to be the 'Chimera Master' for the bonus CP. I saw him walk towards it, Only to be stopped by Hargaan.

"Hargaan don't worry about it, if he does betray us, he can't beat me" I say to calm him down. Contrary I think it got him more fired up, but he was able to keep his rational mind.

"What about the bet one of us need to be the one who beat the Chimera." Hargaan replied. I sighed and answered.

"I'm sure Yu-Won has something in mind for that, just let him do his thing." I say showing my faith in my new teammate, the combination of my trust in Yu-Won and myself made Hargaan back off.

We all watched as Yu-Won walked up to the sealing crystal and equipped a sword from his inventory to destroy it in one slice

{The sealing crystal has been broken.}

{The boss – Chimera will be released from its seal.}

{PLEASE DEFEAT THE UNSEALED CHIMERA.}

{The Chimera's master is 'Kim YuWon.'}

Hargaan's team waited with baited breath waiting to see what Yu-Won was going to do, I on the other hand was prett mellow about the whole situation.

"Chimera. Break that wall." Yu-Won said while pointing toward a specific point in the wall, and as soon as the order left his mouth, the Chimera went feral and attacked the wall with everything it had. The wall crumbled revealing another cave. I and Yu-Won quickly went in.

Silently Hargaan's team followed after to see the reason for our haste. They were met with a room with human and monster body parts strung about leaving a disgusting odour.

[You've entered Boss Room No.4.]

[The boss has been updated.]

[DEFEAT THE BOSS – THE 'CHIMERA CREATOR.']

I focused on the enemy in front of me, I heard Hargaan's group raise some questions, but I didn't care enough to pay attention or answer them.

I make a surprise dash forward conjuring up another sword on my way to the Chimera Creator, when I arrive I realize that I was too fast for the new boss. I still followed through on my slash just in case this was a bait, it separated the head from the shoulders of the Chimera Creator. His lifeless and headless body slumped onto the ground, leaving everyone stunned.

[You have defeated the 'Chimera Creator' in one hit]

[You have accomplished an Unthinkable achievement.]

[Due to accomplishing an Unthinkable achievement, the calculation of your reward will be delayed.]

[The Tutorial has been finalized.]

I looked back at Yu-Won, and he looked at me unamused. The plan was, I rough the Chimera Creator up a bit, then he goes in for the kill while he does that I kill his little pet the Chimera then we're all happy and get those precious Contribution Points. Looks like that wont anymore. Yu-Won thinks on his feet.

"Chimera, let me kill you." He says and the Chimera grunts in acknowledgement and lets Yu-Won slash at his vitals until it falls. Hargaan's team who have been standing in shock until now finally started talking amongst themselves. Yu-Won approached me after killing off his pet. I started to apologize

"I'm sorry, I didn't know that he was that weak." Yu-Won just sighed he eventually answered.

"Just be honest next time, if I knew you were that strong, I would have planned it out differently from the start." I understood what he was saying and took it to heart.

Our conversation was conveniently cut short thanks to the Administrator who came to give me my reward.

"Well if it isn't the talk of the tutorial themselves." He said exiting his portal appearing before me and Yu-Won.

"Yeah, yeah, ain't my first rodeo, give me the hand." I say while putting up my hand for a handshake.

"OK. Rude, but fine, whatever." The Administrator shakes my hand and I see a singular screen show up this time.

{You have received the skill 'Absorb'}

"K, goodbye" I said and waved the peace sign, he seemed to understand and just portaled away. All of this commotion attracted the attention of Hargaan.

"What are you thinking being so rude to an Administrator!?" Hargaan said

"I wasn't mean, I was just doing business" I said in response, with that Hargaan seemed to shut up.

The tutorial finalized.
