Chapter 10

As I was getting up to continue my training after the incident but I felt the air around me shake, it started getting more violent, until what I can only describe as cracks appeared out of nowhere swallowing everything up, until I was left in a black void alone yet again. Then suddenly cracks started appearing in the void as well, and when they were gone, they revealed a picturesque landscape, with a great forest and a mountain. There was also a scent of salt in the air from an ocean nearby.

{The Final Tutorial Will Now Begin.}

People murmured after being told that this was the final Tutorial.

"Final?"

"As in the last one?"

"So it's finally going to be over?"

"No way. It's called the 'Tutorial.'"

"Can you please shut up?"

In the midst of the crowd, there were some people who didn't like the commotion. The messages continued.

{'Barragánda Island' is slowly sinking into the sea. There is only one condition needed to prove your worth in order to escape the island.}

{Defeat The Boss At The Peak Of The Island}

{You will be given a score depending on your contribution towards defeating the boss.}

{The final reward will be decided based on your score and how long it took for the boss to fall.}

{The time limit is 30 days.}

{Once the time limit passes, the island will sink completely.}

"What?"

"A month?"

Maybe because of the unexpectedly long time limit, a lot of people voiced their shock. Up until now, the Tutorial was at most four days long, with some tutorials being as short as one hour. Therefore it couldn't be helped that they were surprised by the sudden large increase in the time limit.

Unlike the people around I didn't question what the Tutorial wanted or how long it gave me to do it, I scanned around the group of people I was summoned around spotting someone I didn't expect to see this early. Kim Yu-Won sported his Pyromancy Robe so I assume that this is the regressed timeline I try not to keep my eyes on him too long but we did still end up meeting eyes. I sighed thinking that I should just double down and ask him to be my teammate. Yu-Won's attention was stolen by a commotion rising in the group, but I still made my way to him.

"Yo, what's that robe you got there looks expensive!" I say to Yu-Won inspecting the robe he had with my fingers, he seemed a little taken aback by my comment but composed himself and answered.

"It is quite expensive, for the Tutorial" Yu-Won says

"Wow! You must be really strong! What's your name? You wanna team up?" I say while reaching out my hand in a fist, asking for a fist bump if he agrees. To my surprise, he agreed pretty readily and gave me a fist bump.

"Kim Yu-Won" He said

"Gojo Satoru" I responded

"Follow me." Yu-Won said right before darting off, he still needs to consume the Giants Heart I remember. Does he want me for protection? Well, it doesn't matter right now, I'll just follow him.

Yu-Won made his way to a cave inhabited by Gnolls which he alone made very quick work of, we then made the cave our own. Yu-Won seemed to have steeled himself and asked me:

"Gojo, I'm going to consume a powerful elixir, I might be out for a bit, can you watch over me?" Yu-Won asked me

"Sure dude, I gotcha" I reply with a thumbs up.

Yu-Won then takes out a red Giant's Heart from his inventory, I keep my knowledge of the item that he pulled out a secret from him since there was no way I killed Fenrir last life, hell if we fought again on even playing ground again I doubt that I would win again.

"Well good luck with that" I say, he nods in response

I turn my back to him and it only takes a couple of minutes until I hear him rolling around on the ground in pain, eventually, he rolls over and passes out.

I just spent the time meditating to increase my proficiency in Sword Mana and Ki, whenever something would get close to us I would use Absolute Zero to kill them it wasn't any monster that was noteworthy. I ended up meditating for a day waiting for Yu-Won to finish consuming the Giants Heart. I look at my spoils during his time unconscious

I realized that I forgot something important after all this time. I need to assign my Allotted stat points! I ponder over a little bit which attracts the recovered Yu-Won.

"What are you thinking about?" he asks looking very curious with his head tilted.

"Hmm. I have Unallocated stat points, Where should I put them?" I ask to hope for some help, though I already made up my mind.

"I think you should put them all into Arcane Power, it's a very useful stat." Yu-Won said, I nod and fiddle with my status, but I do not add my 7 stat points into Arcane Power, instead I put them into Draconic Energy putting up to 63 points.

After waiting a bit we both speak up at the same time

"We should get going" Yu-Won says

"Let's go kill some monsters" I say

"In sync already" I tease, Yu-Won just rolls his now red eyes and starts walking out of the cave in the direction I sense some monsters.

Yu-Won just landed the finishing blow on the Parasite Dragon.

"Wow! You did great! A very hard-fought battle to be sure!" I say while clapping

"It wouldn't have been hard fought if you participated" Yu-Won said angrily but his face told me that he was curious as to why I am doing this

"I sprained my wrist protecting you, It still hurts!" I say, knowing he knew it was a lie, I protected him 6 days ago, no way I would've let myself be injured for this long.

"Why are you 3rd in the rankings then?" he asked finally knowing how to deal with me. I wasn't participating in any of the raids we did since I didn't want I steal his CP, but I would still go out when he fell asleep and hunt like mad.

"Uhh. It only hu-" My rebuttal was interrupted by the boss room door opening.
