WHO ARE YOU?

"Young master, the doctors say you might have damaged your vocal cords during the accident and also temporary amnesia seeing how you can't seem to recognize anyone" the young man said in a very concerned tone. I just stared blankly at the grey haired man and slowly raised an eyebrow at him for the second time today, an even more annoyed look on my face, finally I couldn't take it anymore and beckoned him closer to the bed, "who the hell are you?" I said in a cold icy tone, displeasure and annoyance dripping through my voice.

The young man was stupefied for a second but soon recovered and said, "I am your personal butler, Julien, I've been serving you since you were four. You are Rael Valerio Raziel, the only living young master and heir of the Raziel family, you are currently twenty and just graduated from Yale university last month, you were supposed to take over the company the day you had the accident, which according to investigation was a set up to kill you, we are yet to find out the person behind this incident but I assure you our team is working hard on it." I stared at grey head.....*ahem* Julien with a suspicious look, I pursed my lips and looked away to the window. Minutes passed and soon turned to hours, Julien stood there without moving or saying a word, and we stayed that way for a long time, comfortable in each other's presence.

When the sun was finally about to set, grey hea….Julien finally spoke," young master, it's time to go back to the main house.", to which I silently nodded. I walked to the bathroom and changed into a pair of jeans and T-shirt topped with a leather jacket and swept back my hair with hands, admired my new looks in the mirror then sauntered back into the room to see Julien looking me up and down in surprise. "did I really have such bad taste in fashion before?" to which he chuckled and replied," yes, very much", I instantly curled up my lips in a disgusted sneer trying to imagine just how bad the original owner's fashion sense must have been for grey hea...Julien to react like that.

We both walked down to the parking area and quickly got into the black Maserati Levante Trofeo that was parked in front of us. The SUV cruised through the streets of the city of Venice past all the old structures and beautiful scenery, past all the bustling lights and crowds of the city and finally out onto the quite of the almost empty highways. The ride back to the so-called main house was both comfortable and somewhat awkward, we both seemed to love the silence hanging in the vehicle but also seemed to want to engage in any sort of nonsense conversation. Finally, after the long awaited end of this weird journey, we arrived in front of a huge mansion, more like a castle.

The moment I stepped out of the door, I was greeted with six people standing with their arms held in front of them in a respectful manner. In the front were an old couple, the old man wore a butler's uniform like Julien and the lady wore a simple floral dress, behind them were three young women each with Burnett, black and red hair each and a young man with blonde hair, I was confused looking at these people because it felt like I should know them but I also couldn't recall any memories of them, but one thing was sure, I was going to protect these people with all I have, maybe I would actually start seeing them as family.

Seeing my confusion, Julien stepped forward to introduce them to me," this is the head butler, Mr. Lee and his wife, Mrs. Lee the head chef, then there is Emily, Jessica and Rose, the helpers and caretakers of the mansion, this is Zeke, the one who takes care of the garden", he slowly introduced. I looked at all of them and then out of habit bowed 45 degrees according to asian culture," it's nice to meet you all again. Although I can't remember anything, I will try my best to not be bothersome" I said. All of them started immediately denying what I said, saying thing along the line that I'm not a bother at all and that its their job to take care of me and all that nonsense.

After all the introductions were done, we finally proceeded to the dining room. The moment I sat down, all of them disappeared into through the huge kitchen doors and returned after a few minutes with plates filled with healthy food of all kinds, the biggest surprise was that it was all vegan, like…..how can anyone survive on vegan food? Are they cows or something? I have always wondered how people survived on just veggies and fruits with absolutely no meat, well I guess I am up for the same meal right now.

"I'm sorry for all the veggies today, but since you just recovered, going by the doctor's instruction we cannot let you have any meat for the time being", said Mrs. Lee. I pouted and made a sulky face but immediately widened my eyes, since when did I actually show emotions on my face? I ignored these thought and happily delved into the food in front of me as the rest of the people sat down around me.

During dinner they all had a small fun banter about Emily who wanted to dress up Zeke in a bridesmaid dress on her wedding, and Zeke's playful screeching about how he felt betrayed and wanted to break their friendship and how he wanted to just die off after this humiliation, everyone laughed to the verge of tears.

After dinner and greeting everyone a goodnight, I walked up to my room with Julien leading me. He opened my door, bid me good night and went to his own room to retire for the night.
