Show Me the Way
It took Pete the better part of an hour to circle the woods back to the city. He did not want to alarm Horacio, Marian, and Bree. If he had told them he was going back towards Sherwood, they would not have let him leave. Part of him was wary of Horacio and his nature magic. The boy's first encounter with it had left him scarred. The roots and vines that the mage had summoned appeared to drain his body of mana.
Horacio gave him the vibes of a mad scientist. You need their help during an emergency but don't wish to deal with their crazy ideas during times of peace.
'Where is it?' Pete asked Mimir, standing in the same alley where he had portaled back from Sherwood the last time. "Where's the goddamn gate?"
