It was nighttime in Slumdon Town. Broken walked beside Freya, heading towards the city gate. As they got closer, they spotted two figures—Igor and Anna—standing guard at the entrance. The second Broken drew near, both guards straightened up and saluted sharply.
"Good evening, My Lord," Igor greeted.
"All quiet tonight?"
"Yes, My Lord, all clear," Anna responded.
"Is there anything important we need to do, My Lord?" Igor asked.
"No, just make sure you get enough rest. For now, while waiting for the other knights to be ready to help with your duties," Broken instructed.
Polly appeared, and Broken and Freya quickly mounted her, disappearing into the darkness of the night.
Anna, still watching Broken as he receded into the distance, looked curious.
"Focus on your work, Anna."
Anna giggled. "Lord Broken is really something else, isn't he? Admired by so many beautiful women."
