Legend Of The Demon Goddess Selene

This story is for the audacious. If you like happy endings, cheesy romances and family comedies then turn away. This is not the book for you. This reveals a dark history that was erased and I shall reveal no matter the cost. Still want to read it? *smirk

Let It Go

All of them were speechless. My mother then went a step closer in a threatening manner and said in a fake worrying tone. "Even if you prove that your daughter was hurt by mine then doesn't it mean that your child is weaker than my powerless one. I wonder how Octavia will get into an academy if such a news gets out."

Their eyes were hesitant and they were scared for Octavia's future while I was smiling at my mother's cunningness. I looked over at Octavia and she was fuming. It was so satisfying. "We will leave for now but we will punish you soon! Octavia lets go."

They pulled Octavia out of the house as her act didn't bear fruit she was angry. I was laughing at their exit when I sensed my mother's displeased glares. "It was not my fault, you know?" I awkwardly said while scratching my head. "Of course not my non-violent child!" She sarcastically said. I chuckled stiffly.

"Go get the bandage. If I knew this first thing you would after going out I wouldn't have let you. You had to hurt her? You know what a drama queen she is." I laughed at her words when I put the bandage on. "Okay, sorry supermom. I promise to not cause trouble." "Don't make promises you can't keep." She strictly said.

After consoling her I went to my room. But I didn't sleep. I instead started my training. Then at exactly 23:00 I went to bed. I woke up at 5:00 and left a note for my mother while leaving. Then I climbed the mountain a few roads across our house. When I reached the top I felt so liberated. This was the spot I used to train everyday. No one knew of this place, not even my mother. I could relax and clear my mind here.

It's wide and open, sloping a gentle cosmic-blue river. There is a plush-green meadow stretching to the dragon-backed mountain. On the peak the fog that engulfs the top is unearthly and mystical. The daffodils dance in the wind, the tree branches swing side to side. The birds chirp a heavenly melody, butterflies flutter through the air with their velvet wings. The lonely peak looks like the crescent of a halo.

I sat on the stone seat under the cherry blossom tree. I started meditating and clearing my mind and relaxing my body. Then I visualized a pleasant image and did some basic breathing exercises. Once I was in a relaxed state the memories of the past few months and the test whirled in my mind. The traumatic experience I had gone through was painful.

The more I remembered the more I was reminded of the agony I had felt. Taking deep breaths I tried to let go. Each breath, a farewell to the haunting memories.

*Suddenly open eyes* I have finally let it go.
