Jay's Presence

--- Vale's Encampment

While each and every person in the Doomsday Region was thinking about what they should do or what the shout was all about, Vale explained it to everyone in her camp that if anyone plans to go to Cinder Hell Mountain, only death would await them.

"Monsters made out of molten rocks, lava, fire, or even a mountain itself roam the Cinder Hell areas. In fact, there is only one mountain that isn't alive, and it is a gigantic volcano which we call as the Cinder Hell Mountain. Besides the monsters, it is pretty obvious that the blasphemers the Goddess spoke about is not just any typical enemy you've ever seen..."

While Vale talked to her troops and the refugees gathered around her, Jay and his group took this chance to slip away from the camp since they had nothing to do with any of this.

"Bro, are you sure we aren't going to take part in this crazy event going on?" Rodrick asked as they hid behind a tent. The moment they did so, he grabbed Jay and Cidney and teleported the group to a farthest place he could see, which was a large black stone.

"This isn't our fight. Let us now head towards the Redmist Valley and see if my friends are still there." Jay said and Rodrick nodded at him. Just like this, the group began heading west through Rodrick's teleportation.

...

--- Redmist Valley

The war continues between the three sides; the Chaos faction, Peace Faction, and the Order Faction. It has been 13 hours since then and it is still ongoing, with no one in favor of victory or defeat. The troops of the three factions were evenly matched for some reason and only a handful of casualties occur per hour.

"So boring. Back during my days, small battles like this only took an hour and everything is over. These greenhorns are so funny trying their best not to kill and just defend." The lady in the dark purple dress said softly as she yawned. Just like her, the two other spectators flying in the air had pretty much the same opinion and wondered if they should step in and finish it.

No one in the battlefield cared about the Goddess of Evil's shout, including the three spectators themselves. They were just focused on one thing, and that is to win a victory with a few casualties. But of course, this was a stupid notion of theirs since there will always be casualties in war.

Then suddenly, out of nowhere, a thundering sound of a horn was heard throughout the entire area. The sound came from the valley itself and no one knew what the hell it was.

"Is that..." The three spectators were shocked when they saw women suddenly flying out of the Redmist Valley, women clad in fitted white armor, a red cloak, two black swords sheathed on their belts, and each and every one held a glowing black staff.

"The Scarlet Witches! This is bad, why are hundreds of them pouring out of the valley?!! And what's with those demonic birds with them?!!" The lady in the dark purple dress shouted as she looked at the Scarlet Witches fly out of the valley and even saw two gigantic birds of an unknown species with them.

She quickly grabbed a green token inserted between her breasts and snapped it into pieces. Just like her, the two other spectators did the same. This action of theirs caused three beacons of light to appear in the area, signaling their request for backup.

...

"Sylvie, want me to kill these witnesses for you?" The Chicken Lord asked since he knew that the Scarlet Witches did not like it when someone sees them in their full attire.

"It's fine uncle. Our Great Sage and her direct disciples will clean the valley in no time. We just have to focus on getting to Cinder Hell Mountain for now..." Sylvie was about to continue to speak when she suddenly saw the Chicken Lord and Nuggets having a weird expression on their faces. They even slowed down in the middle of their flight.

"Jay!??" Since the two were still connected to Jay through a sliver in his soul, the two immediately felt something weird, something which they should never be able to feel again since they knew Jay was dead.

"Big bro! I'm checking it out! I'll catch up with you and the witches later on!" Nuggets said hurriedly as she flew away from the group and went east from where they are.

"You better catch up and tell me what it is!" The Chicken Lord said as he calmed himself down and followed after Sylvie and the witches. Even though he wanted to check out if it was really Jay's presence he was feeling, he could not just leave since he already gave Sylvie his word that he would help them. What kind of an uncle would he be if he went back on his word?

...

"I've got to say, this is really the biggest cheat I seen in traveling." Jay said to Rodrick since it felt really weird just teleporting from place to place. As long as Rodrick can see the spot, he could teleport to the spot he sees.

"Thank the scientists on Earth for making the Teleportation Stone, and probably the weird catastrophe that happened back on Earth." Rodrick said as he grinned and continued.

Nothing eventful happened during the ten minutes of their travel, but just as they thought they would reach the Redmist Valley like this...

"JAYYYYY!!!"

They heard a loud shout of a girl in the air and there was a large golden bird heading towards them.

"Rodrick, stop!" Jay shouted and the moment Rodrick stopped, he quickly got on his feet and ran towards the golden bird. During this moment, it was pretty obvious that it was Nuggets.

"Nuggets!"

Jay shouted and opened his arms, welcoming her to come over. But when Nuggets was already near him, just as he thought he was getting a big hug...

"You idiot!!!"

Nuggets suddenly tackled Jay using her head. Since she was too fast, she got dragged together with Jay as they rolled on the ground from the impact of her tackle.

"Jay, hold on!" Rodrick shouted as he suddenly made a 'gun' gesture using both of his hands. He was about to channel a laser beam through his fingers using his suit, but Cidney suddenly stopped him.

"It's fine dad, look." Cidney said as she lowered Rodrick's hands and the both of them looked at Jay and Nuggets.

"Why?!! Why did you do it!??"

"Idiot! Blockhead! Dummy!"

Nuggets threw all of her questions and some insults at Jay as she kept pecking him. As for Jay, he kept trying to make her stop since her pecks really hurt since she was in her Thunderbird Phoenix form.

After a few minutes, Nuggets calmed down and returned to her chicken form. She even had a couple of tears flowing down her eyes as she glared at Jay.

"I'm really sorry. I'll make it up to you and I promise I won't do selfish things like that again." Jay said as he patted Nuggets on the head. He grabbed her afterwards and hugged her.
