Pack 5- She Wolf

I lunge for the girl and we both roll over to the other side of the bed. My body trembled with rage.

'Get away from him!' an internal screech.

My hands reach for her neck, and she shoves me back before I can reach it. Arching my back in agony after landing against the bed. Relentless, I make another attempt for her once more.

"Enough," I hear Adriel say and picking me up from the floor.

"Ouch, that hurt you know" the girl says, scratching the back of her head.

"Should've knocked you out!" I yell while Adriel carries me over to the couch, with his back to her, she says.

"Addie, I know you said you didn't have a girlfriend, and I clearly see why she's not a contender," she yells over to us.

"Undomesticated ones are hard to tame," she whispers through cupping her hand, against her mouth.

"That's it!" a battle cry, soon halted by Adriel's death stare after putting down on the couch, on the other side of the room.

She got up and struts over to us, a curvy waist of a hundred and forty-nine centimetres, a light tawny skin tone and silver blonde hair in a military bun.

The wind blows a soft breeze and strands of her hair float up. She fixes it, pouting her full top lip, then smirks my way.

I feel my beginning blood to boil once more, though sizzles down by Adriel piercing gaze from above.

"Why is she here?" a question I know I should have asked first, but something about her aggravates me.

'Jealousy' a still voices answer mes from the corners of my mind.

"What?" I ask out loud.

"Mingan, no one said anything," Adriel announces, and they both stare at me puzzled.

"Anyway, I'm Morgan Cele," chirpy and extends her right hand to me.

I slap her hand away and walk past to the fridge for a glass of water. I take a sip and retort. Still clueless of my own behaviour, I continue on its war path.

"I asked why you're here, not who you are," and add while pointing over to Adriel with the glass in hand, "and I asked him, not you."

"Woo, aren't we feral? Didn't know it was possible for she-wolves," Morgan smirks mockingly to me, though silenced by a raised eyebrow from Adriel.

"I went to look around the city, found a few stores we can get a change of clothing from-"

"Oh, here I thought you guys had matching couple outfits on," Morgan interrupts.

"You've never seen a school uniform before?" I scoff.

"No, I don't go to school," she calmly retorts, and I'm left feeling bad.

"Morgan worked at one of the shopping Mall's stores and followed along," Adriel finishes and fills the awkward silence.

"Besides, just so you know, we only ever had schools with casual clothing here. After a protest of surrounding students, petitioning that uniforms restricted freedom of expression for youth," Morgan explains and walks over to me, taking my glass from my hand.

"It happened a when I was younger though, the whole uniform banning thing," sips the last bit of my water.

"That's nice and all, but care to explain what happened to the city?" I snap back.

"Woo, salty!" Morgan cheers, flashing a deep dimpled grin my way.

'Why am I being so mean? This isn't me!' a passing thought and a counter from the whisper before.

'Jealousy,' it says again.

'Jealousy, Jealousy, Jealousy, Jealousy,' the whispers grow louder and repetitive.

'Jealousy, Jealousy, Jealousy, Jealousy, Jealousy, Jealousy, Jealousy, Jealousy, His mine!' screams this time and I groan in agony, grabbing at the side of my head to stop the voices. Adriel rushes over to us.

"Are you okay?" I hear Morgan question softly beside me.

'Kill her!' a wailing screech.

"Enough!" I command out loud in response, the voice quiets and startles both Morgan and Adriel. The silence deafening and prickly tension filled atmosphere makes it worse.

They stare back at me, not only in pure shock, but expression's I couldn't believe to be true, more so from poker-faced Adriel. Fear. Eyes alert. They have terror written all over their faces.

"I'm sorry, guys. I think I should go for a walk for a few minutes." I tell them in the most timid voice I can muster and rush past them, exiting the room.

Finding my way through the hotel's building, following the cream walls of a once frenzied atmosphere, to be met by the warm breeze of an evening afternoon.

I feel overwhelmed, confused and everything in-between. I would try to blame it all on stress of what the world has become, but my state of mind has been sent into turmoil.

Walking aimlessly on the side walk, my body shivered still from the adrenaline rush coursing through me. My hands shaking, palms sweaty and world wind of a voice.

The echoing sound of footsteps pitter-patter behind me like raindrops. They grow louder and more distinct, boots? I'm not sure, my head feels heavy, my heart begins to pound inside my chest. 'Fight,' the voice from before urges me. I'm probably overreacting, it could be Adriel, who changed out of his uniform and shoes.

The clacking of metal, resonated closer this time. I'm barely able to run right now, I hadn't eaten a meal and feel fatigue creep into me as stumble into the empty road.

Nighttime pulled in quicker than excepted as the Sniper-dude chasing after me. My legs give in, heaving chest and aching feet. I fall in the middle of the road, my eyelids drag down like heavy curtains, falling closed. The cold wind snuggles against the thin fabric of my uniform. 'Get up!' it protests. This voice, noticing before falling asleep, is my voice.

Sorry for the confusing narration switch up, another apology as I won't be continuing this series further. Thank you for taking your time to read it anyway, bye bye.
