Only Garen and Eldric remained seated. Eldric had no desire to dance and sing; he was content with just listening to the stories of the people and listening to the sound of voices mingling and harmonizing with the forest's soft melodies.
Garen decided to join him, and the two men quietly sat on a log bench, listening to the melodies floating in the air.
"Ho, they all seem quite young, and me? I suddenly feel quite old," Garen said with a sigh.
Eldric gazed at the man beside him. He was old, per se. He was still middle-aged, but he was in an older stage, and Eldric could see that by the increase of silver and grey hair on his beard and his hair.
The man looked as if he was old, and the fact that he walked with a cane, where Eldric had no clue where he found it, around made one think he was older than he actually was. He sat beside Eldric with his two hands resting on top of the cane, and Eldric gave a chuckle.
