Chapter 5

I think Kuya is not fine. He's still, it seems in pain.

'I have to check.' I told my self.

It was hard, I was staggering a lot but I'm able to stand after a couple of attempts. I'm walking towards Kuya while my arms are widely spread. Keeping my self in balance while walking.

They are still numbness in some part of my body, my knees, legs, arms. But I'm still trying to not drop until I get there.

It were just a few steps but it was tough. And finally, Kuya is now right in front of me.

I sat and take a breather. It was so much effort just to walk.

"Kuya can you hear me? Kuya it's fine just stay calm." I talk to him. My voice is a bit louder that normal. I want Kuya to here me. I'm not sure if talking softly will hear me and I can't shout so I just made it louder a bit.

Kuya is still making that expression. Maybe he can't hear me. Do I have to shout? Or do I have to keep talking until he hears me?.

"Kuya. It's me Rio. Don't fight it. Just keep calm and you'll be alright." I tell while placing my hand over his forehead and shaking his head. I don't know why I did that, it just happened.

"Kuya listen to me. I woke up after I've kept my self calm. You do i-' my hand still over his forehead when he suddenly woke up and got up. He's in shock, breathing heavily. He's sweating, he isn't like this before.

How can someone sweat fast, what did he experienced?

"Kuya. Are you alright?" while I'm patting his back.

He looked at me, his eyes wide open then turns and looks at Jewel. "Jewel, Jeo." His voice, he's afraid. what did he dreamed of to be this afraid?

"O-okay Kuya. I'll check on them." I immediately move to Jewel. She's only two steps away from us so I first go to Jewel.

I hold Jewel on her shoulder with my right hand and her arm with my left. I shake and move them gently to wake her up.

"Jewel. Jewel wake up. Can you hear me?" As soon as I said that she open her eyes.

"Thank God. Kuya Jewel is fine." I informed. "Don't make sudden movements, make yourself wake first. Get comfortable, okay?." She's flapping her eyes and slitting them over and over. 'its too bright. blurry vision huh.' I suspected.

I pick her right arm and place it top of her eyes. "let it cover. Rest your eyes."

I quickly got straight to where Jeo at. He's about three steps away from Jewel.

"Jeo. wake up. If you are conscious. Listen." I tap his shoulder and pinch him. Maybe it'll wake him up, it's nothing personal.

"I was conscious then but can't move. It's as if I'm paralyzed. I started to calm my self and the. I woke up." I told him.

"Calm yourself whatever the case, maybe you'll also wake up afterwards." Then I shook him just like what I did to Jewel but much harder. Hoping he'll wake up from my disturbance.

I peeked at Jewel checking if she's doing fine. Jewel is trying to get up but having trouble. Not even able to lift her upper body. Just her head and be able to move both her legs and her arms.

I immediately go and support her. She's really doing her best even though she's not in state to do so.

I look at where Kuya was. He's now laying on the ground again. Why's he laying? What happened?

It's hot here. Now that they're not in a proper condition I have to get them in a good place. Not here outside where they'll be in danger if people finally wakes.

As I was supporting Jewel I immediately hold on her (princess carry) and carry her in my arms. She's shock but quickly hind onto me. having both her arms around my neck.

"I have to move all of you inside." Is what I told her. She closed her eyes and rest in my arms.

I walk carrying her and got inside the house and lay her down in the couch. "Rest." I told her.

I go outside and go to Jeo. I carry Jeo, get him inside and placed hin on the floor beside Jewel. I move the table to the side for Kuya Eco to lay on.

I go outside again and go straight to where Kuya Eco at. I carry him princess like and carry him inside. Placed him beside Jeo. Kuya Eco is now sleeping peacefully, not having any unpleasant emotions at all. And that's a good thing.

I close the door but not shut complete just a gap between the locks. If ever there's a moment that we'll have to get out mediately then it'll be less hassle. I'll be guarding the door so if ever there's just small sound from outside, I'll immediately without any hesitation close the door.

I go upstairs and get some blankets and cover them on it.

I go next to the kitchen m, straight to the refrigerator and get some bread and biscuits. Placed them of the table and prepared some candies for sugar.

All this works are getting me tired and sleepy. I sat on the chair and let my self loose. 'my body is heavy and my eyes is tired.' I wanted to rest

Maybe a couple of minutes of rest is fine.

I closed my eyes while seated. It was so good to let your whole body free. It's making me want to lay down. But I only have to rest for a minutes, I still have some things to do. So I'll just close my eyes for a couple of minutes and I'll continue my errands.

I woke up due to the noise outside, screams, explosions, and burning. I don't know what exactly is happening outside, what I can think of is the worst. I can't fathom those but what I am sure of is, chaos is approaching.
