They are here!
Kate started panicking, and fear struck in. What in the world did I do to these demons?
"It's best if you stop thinking, they will hear your thoughts," Clarence said in a whisper.
"How can I not think, what will I do to stop thinking"
"Shall I kiss you then?"
"What!?" This man is insane to think I will allow him to touch me.
Clarence sighed, it seems like he had fueled the girl more. He only said that to stop her from thinking, who would have thought it will make her mind jittery?
Without thinking he bent down and carried her in his arms before teleporting to his house.
Kate didn't know what happened, one minute this man was talking about kissing her and the next they were in a house.
She looked around the house and recognized it as the house where he took her before. It felt good going from one place to the other without walking or taking the carriage.
She realized she was still in his arms. She wriggled herself out from the man but he still held her tightly.
What was this man trying to do? "Let me go!"
Still, Clarence didn't even make budge. Kate tried to push him, but his grip was strong like a steal.
Wait! Is he planning on eating me? Or drinking my blood. And why is he not talking? I should have known, allowing a demon to take me to his house. But I don't have the power to stop him either way.
"Clarence, please let me go, you're hurting me" Kate tried speaking sense into him but he didn't even respond.
Oh goodness, I am finally going to die in the hands of a demon. What is wrong with him? He's not speaking and he's not also moving, and his grip on her was so strong that she thought her tiny waist will break.
Kate began to hit him trying to get away. Instead, the man stood straight and strong, not even affected by her hits. She hissed in pain because Clarence's strong body made her fragile palm turn red. What's his body made of, Steal?
Using her two hands, she pushed him on his chest which resulted in them falling flat on the marble floor.
The pain stung Kate on her bottom, she had twisted her ankle making her fall back with Clarence on top of her. She screamed.
What am I going to do now, he's so heavy that I might end up fainting. Thankfully, this had happened inside the house where no one was watching else people would condescendingly look at her.
Soon she heard footsteps coming from the hallway. What!? Someone lives here too? Maybe the person can help me, but what if he's a demon too?
Kate couldn't help but feel afraid, the recent attack and hunting made her so conscious of her environment.
The steps got nearer until she was looking at a pair of black boots. Everything was now upside down in her eyes. She couldn't see the man who now stood in front of her.
"What's going on here?" It was James the butler, he had heard the loud thud when he was in the study cleaning.
He couldn't describe what he saw. His master was on top of the lady and he wasn't moving. Something is not right here.
"Please Mister help me" Kate pleaded feeling suffocated.

Back in Govan, inside the dark thick forest where the humans don't go, there was a fight going on.
Clarence was fighting with the demon that was following Kate. He had teleported Kate to his house using his surrogate.
He lured him into this forest so that the townsmen won't get killed or bring unnecessary attention to them.
Right now the demon was attacking Clarence relentlessly, not giving him chance to fight back.
Clarence merely dodged the flying knife that was thrown at him, flying past his left eye.
He continued dodging the attacks while also studying the movements of the demons. This seems to be a high-ranking demon, but not high enough for him.
"Hey buddy," Clarence said trying to engage the demon in a talk "what should I call you, ugly?"
Clarence knew if he called him ugly, it will anger him more. This made more knives and daggers to be thrown at him.
Seeing the sharp objects flying towards him with speed, he disappeared from there. This made the demon to be confused, the next thing he heard was the swishing of air. The demon turned in time for a dagger to cut through his neck.
Black blood slipped out of the cut. He became angrier after Clarence cut his neck. His sharp nails came out, his eyes turned black. Smoke came out from his nostrils as his horns also appeared.
"Oh oh seems like I've brought out the beast in you," Clarence said this time charging forward, he drew out his double-edge daggers from his robe. Its sides shone as the small light that slipped through the trees hit it.
He made the first attack by using his dagger on the shoulders of the demon, the demon flinched in pain before he clawed Clarence's hand with his sharp nails.
Clarence didn't bother to check the blood coming out from his hand as he disappeared and reappeared behind the demon. He kicked and punch him at the same time on his ribs.
The demon turned and caught hold of Clarence's leg, trying to twist and claw him, but before he could turn, Clarence disappeared from his hand to stand beside him.
Clarence used one of his daggers to stab his neck at the same time he punched his jaw. The demon's jaw twisted to the side as he took two steps back.
He rubbed his neck and used his hand to return the jaw to its position.
He brought out a shining silver dagger that was very sharp and pointed.
The demon went after Clarence while Clarence looked at him with a sly smile. Sound of a clashing dagger resonated around the forest.
James watched the lady on the floor as she struggled to get his master off her body. Was he dead? No, that can't be, his master cannot just die like that.
He went close to them and pushed his master but he remained stiff. He tried one more time using his demon strength only to have him moved to the side still holding Kate on her waist.
They were now lying side by side, making Kate breathe out heavily.
What could have happened to his master? Could what they have been saying about this lady be true? His eyes flared up as he looked at Kate "What happened to him?"
Kate was trying to catch her breath when she heard the man's question "I don't know what h…" She exhaled before continuing "He came to rescue me from a demon in my town, he teleported us here and this happened"
James listened to the lady's struggling talk before he understood what happened. His master had used his surrogate to send her back.
"Hmm, there's nothing I can do, but you will have to wait till he gets back"
Kate turned confused "What do you mean till he gets back, he's right here holding me, a…and you're saying till he gets back?"
"This is not his real self that's here. That's all I can tell you now. Wait till he gets back" James turned on his heel to get back to what he was doing.
"What's your name," Kate asked.
James halted his steps when he heard the lady's question, he turned to look at her "James" and with that he left her struggling with his master's surrogate.
Now fighting face to face, Clarence used his dagger to stab the demon but was blocked off. The impact made the daggers fly away from them.
Clarence brought out his nails and used them to pluck the demon's right eye making it bleed. Not waiting for him to react he used his leg to kick the demon which made him fly five meters away hitting his back on a tree before falling flat on the snow-covered ground.
The tree shook due to the impact making a branch break and fall. Clarence caught the branch in time before it could fall on the demon.
Seeing he was trying to get up, Clarence used the branch to stab the demon's head back to the floor. The demon's head burst, making the white tissues of his brain fall on the ground. Black blood gushed out from his broken skull to the floor, making the snow-covered floor black.
Clarence watched as the demon brain continued falling to the floor. He took a white handkerchief from his pocket and cleaned his hand.
It took some time before the demon turned into a cloud of black dust. Clarence threw the handkerchief on the floor where the demon was.
He walked away from there. The forest now looked like a battleground where daggers lay, some stuck to the trees. He picked up his daggers, and taking another handkerchief he wiped the black blood on them.
He kept the daggers back inside his robe before teleporting back to his house, not noticing the creature on the tree.
The creature had the legs of a dog while the body was like a bird's body with a human face, looking like a woman. She chuckled "Hell is going to let loose soon," she said before disappearing.
Clarence who just teleported back to his house found the funniest scenario he had ever seen before. Kate was on the floor with his surrogate holding her. And what were they doing on the floor facing each other?
He laughed as he came closer to them. Kate who heard the sound of laughter tried to turn to see who it was.
She had been staying here for the past one hour, where everywhere had turned silent leaving her on the cold floor.
Seeing the shiny black boots, she raised her head to find Clarence standing with a sly smile on his lips. Kate pursed her lips before saying "Won't you get your body off me?"
Clarence laughed "Did you enjoy my body on you?"
Kate glared at him, this man is shameless.
"I can hear you," Clarence said as he bent down and touched his surrogate.
Standing up, his surrogate stood up with him too, before disappearing.
Kate was stunned by what happened as she slowly stood up. "What happened? Where did it go to?"
"Inside your body"
"What?" Kate shivered.
Clarence smiled and bent toward her "I said, it went inside your body"
Kate watched the man in front of her. It couldn't be that what he said is true. Did his… no no, that's not true. Her body shook again. Lying on the cold floor made her body turn rigid and this man was adding more goosebumps to her skin.
"You're shivering let's get you some h…"
"You're hurt" Kate interrupted him before he could finish what he was saying.
Clarence watched Kate looking at the injury on his arm "Now which one to do? My injury or your cold?" He asked with a sly smile on his lips.
Kate looked up to meet the man's daunting eyes "I'll go get warm while you tend to your wound"
"Okay, but do you know the way?" Clarence asked her, since it was only once she's been to his house, likely, she won't know her way.
"Yes," Kate sounded confident.
"Okay" Clarence smiled waiting for another episode of the drama. He knew quite well she will get lost. Even when his butler newly came, he had missed his way several times.
He watched as Kate headed to the hallway she thought will lead her to the room she was in when he rescued her.
He shook his head smiling internally before going to his room.
