The Spell

I try to be calm. During some minutes I am wearing the dress by myself. I let my long hair loose without ties. I just want to know the reason. I need an explanation about this situation. Yu Wen looks after Xiao Ran while I get dressed.

"Now, tell me."

I sit in front of her. Xiao Ran is a beautiful girl indeed but she makes me confused. I still don't have any clues if she is an ally or enemy. I just know that Xiao Ran is the key. I need her to make me come back as before. She must know the way to make me come back to being 'normal'.

"Who asked you to poison the Young Master?" Yu Wen asked.

"I don't know who poisoned Young Master. I am not the one who did it."

"You said don't know? Don't You say that you will give your life to me?" I asked her. I cannot trust her.

"Somebody else poisoned you that night. This manor knew about it so they have sent me to guard you that night. That poison would harm and could make you die in seconds so this manor saves you. The poison is so strong and no antidote can heal except the two soul spells."

"Two souls spell?" Yu Wen looks at me. "So-"

"What's that?"

Yu Wen's serious face makes me aware.

"Can we talk privately?" She looks at Yuwen who is still aware.

To be honest. I am scared but this girl wants to talk privately so I don't have any option. I am so curious about what has happened recently. Yu Wen looked at me and I closed my eyes for a while to let him know to leave me with this girl.

"Young Master." He protested.

"Don't worry." I said.

"Then I leave."

"Uhm."

After Yu Wen left, just both of us were in this chamber. I asked Xiao Ran to continue.

"He went...so let me know about that spell."

"Actually the spell is to save you and make Young Master's body who was poisoned disappear to recuperate for a while and when Young Master's body has healed already, the spell will make the body become normal."

"So is this just temporary?" I asked.

"It should, but…" She stopped.

" Xiao Ran, you give your words to me already. You said to give your life and loyalty to serve me. So tell me. Why do you help me? Why does this manor help me?"

"You will know later."

"Xiao Ran, I still don't understand about the spell and about my dying body."

"The spell makes Young Master's body come back if nothing dangerous but Young Master is dying now."

"So?" I have become so curious.

"Young Master will die soon and Young Master has to prepare with this body, in Jing Er's body. Forever."

"What?! I am a man. I can't be a woman forever. Look. I am interested in women. Could you please help me?"

Xiao Ran shakes her head with a guilty face expression.

"The spell will change Young Master forever. The lotus tattoo on your back is the sign of the Young Master body turning into this body."

"What?! Xiao Ran, I still like women, how come I… I... woman...Ah!"

"Your man's body is so weak after being poisoned that night. It's a miracle when you are still alive and healthy with this body. Young Master can rest assured the spell only can change you forever when you are ready to give your soul for another life."

"Another soul? That it's mean. My man's body is dying right now and I will change forever soon?" I asked. I am so curious about this matter also.

Xiao Ran bowed her body in front of me.

"Let me serve you, Jing Er Lady."

I was so scared when she called me Jing Er Lady even though she knew that I am Li Jun Jie. I am so angry but what should i do? I want to kill Cheng Sheng Lin as Li Jun Jie but....now I have to be trapped in this body.

"Don't call me like that!"

She takes a deep breath before giving me a red envelope.

"What is it?"

"This letter from Young Master's sister in law."

What? I am still confused but still open the red envelope.

'Jun Jie, you are our hope. Please forgive your sister in-law because I cannot help our family. Xiao Ran will help you. I don't have a lot of times.'

This is indeed her handwriting. She had been planning it all and she knew if somebody wanted to kill us. I don't have choice except accepting this situation even my pride broken as this spell makes me into a woman.

"Jing Er Lady, please take a rest."

Xiao Ran looks like knows my body is weak even with this woman body.

"Who knows about this matter?"

"Looks like the old man knew about this matter. When he is welcoming the Young Master it means he knows already."

"Then I need to meet him."

"But..."

"Young Master-"

I raised my hand to make Xiao Ran stop. I want to meet the Old Man right now. I don't startled when the Old Man enters my chamber with his wand to support his old body. Even he uses a wand but I know his weak body is fake as he smiles at me.

"Lady...This manor and these people are yours now."

He bowed to me and shocked me.

"Don't do that because I am not your Lady."

"Lady, please forget your previous life because you will turn into this body. This spell will find a way to make you give your soul. Lady does not have a choice since the spell is working in Lady. You are the Huang Lady."

"What?! What is the meaning you were spelled to me ? You said that you did it to save me. Then, I will say that I never ask all of you to save me!"

"Don't be stupid! Don't you think our life is not worth it? How about Huang's family? Don't you think if you died that night, that young man will save?" He narrowed it down to Yu Wen. "If you really save your people who still remain you shall accept your destiny then we take our leave."

I don't know what I should do? Does it mean my life as a man will end soon? It's impossible!

Yu Wen is in the chamber after they leave. His face is so pale, same with me.

"Young Master, are you alright?"

"Yu Wen, what should I do?"

"Young Master, what's happened?"

I see his wet eyes. A long time he has always been loyal to me and I know Yu Wen is the one who always protects me but I want to protect him as well.

"Young Master...."

"Yu Wen, I am so tired."

I take a breath and see the full moon through the chamber window and let the wind blow my long hair. The jade hairpin from my sister in-law still on the wood table beside the bed.

"Yu Wen, do you have any news about her?"

"I am sorry Young Master. I don't have any news except she is here in the Southern area. Our people ever seen her ride a horse here."

"If she was here. Don't you think she has a connection with the Huang family?"

"It's possible, Young Master. How do Young Masters think about this matter?"

"I don't know." I take a deep breath. "Yu Wen, It's late, you can take a rest. See you tomorrow."

"Yes."
